AARP Prescription Discount Program 1-877-422-7719  Card to help members of AARP who are 50 years or older pay for medicines that are not covered by Part D plans.  Costs $19.95 and will give discounts up to 53% with an average savings of 20%. Colorado Drug Card 1-877-321-6755 www.coloradodrugcard.com  Colorado Drug Card is free to help the uninsured and underinsured save on prescription discounts (discounts for vision, eyeglasses, hearing and diabetic supplies and more).  The Colorado Card can only be used alone, not in conjunction with any other plan. o If you have Medicare, but are in the “dounut hole” between coverage and when the designated year starts over, you can use the Colorado Drug Card.  Go to the website, print off the prescription card and use the card at participating pharmacies. Can use even if have insurance, but it doesn’t cover a certain prescription.  Discounts available at participating pharmacies. An RxAssist coordinator will sort through the complex paperwork and eligibility requirements to determine whether you qualify for programs that will lower your medication costs. Rx Med Assist/Community Assistance Program 1-888-311-6224 http://www.caprxprogram.org/FindRep.aspx  Call number above or go to website to request a free card to help you save an average of 15% on brand-name and 55% on generics.  Can be used by any member of the family regardless of age or income.  There is no paperwork to completed, no limit on the number of prescriptions filled and all drugs are subject to discount. The card never expires.  Also can help you to apply for programs to help save on medications if you cannot afford your medication with this card. Call for more information.
