MEMBER, RAJASTHAN STATE HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION, JAIPUR ***** Born on 1st July 1957 at Sri Karanpur in District Sri Ganganagar. Did Graduation in Agriculture and thereafter MBA from Shimla. Joined Rajasthan Police in the Year 1982 and held various important positions including Superintendents of Police, District Chittorgarh, District Jodhpur, District Alwar, District Udaipur, Commandant RAC, DIG (Intelligence) Rajasthan and IGP (Intelligence) Rajasthan . Dealt successfully many law and order problems & communal riots. Solved many complicated and sensational cases pertaining to offences against body and property. Many innovations were initiated for prevention and detection of crime. Was Chairman/Member of various committees for organizing sports, seminars, events, examinations etc. and also contributed a lot in raising the central Band of Rajasthan Police, which is now perhaps the best Brass Band of the country. In year 1993, seized one of the biggest consignment of arms and ammunitions smuggled from Pakistan on India Pak Border in Bajju (District Bikaner) and arrested around 50 accused. As Superintendent of Police Chittorgarh, got the rare opportunity to investigate a case of Kidnapping and ransom in Thailand. After parleys of deliberations with Interpol, Thai Royal Police, Thai Crime Suppression Division and through technical & professional investigation, the kidnapped person was safely released on the land of a foreign country. Received various Awards and Rewards including Police Medal for meritorious services from President of India in year 2000. Since 25th January, 2021 serving as Member, Rajasthan State Human Rights Commission, Jaipur. .

A healthy society in turn, needs healthy and literate individuals. In order to make literacy worthwhile, it must be functional. Functional literacy signifies the ability of a person to discharge his economic, social and civic duties in an efficient manner. The word 'Literacy' means an ability to read and write. The level of development becomes higher if the population of the country is educated and firstly literate. Education permits a higher degree of social mobility the ability to achieve a higher social level. This paper is an effort to analyze the position of literacy in 11 tehsils of Udaipur district at social level, gender level with the statistical techniques based on census data of 2011. The purpose of the paper is to find out what are the causes of social and gender disparity in literacy regarding the 11 tehsils of Udaipur district and the attempts that can be inculcated to make the females of the district and the social groups more literate. Key words: Disparities, Education, Literacy, Social and Gender Introduction Education is must for both men and women equally as both together make a healthy and educated society. GEOLOGY AND MINERAL WEALTH 42-76 1 Chittorgarh District Survey Report CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION Chittorgarh is located in the southern part of the state of Rajasthan, in the northwestern part of India. It is located beside a high hill near the Gambheri River. Chittorgarh is located between 23° 32' and 25° 13' north latitudes and between 74° 12' and 75° 49' east longitudes in the southeastern part of Rajasthan state. The district encompasses 10,856 square km (3.17 per cent of the Rajasthan State) area of land. It has an average elevation of 394 metres (1292 ft.) Above Sea Level and a population of 1,544,338 of which male and female were 783,171 and 761,167 respectively (2011census), which increased 16.08% from 2001 to 2011. It is sharing border with Neemuch District to the South ,Bhilwara District to the North , Pratapgarh District to the South ,Udaipur District to the west .It is sharing Border with Madhya Pradesh State to the East .Chittorgarh District occupies an area of approximately 10856 square kilometres.

Received: January 12, 2019 Accepted: February 24, 2019 ABSTRACT: The aim of the paper is to study Urbanization Process and Trend in Ganganagar district, Rajasthan and its impact. It also studies the urbanisation level of sub districts of Ganganagar. It traces back the emergence of Ganganagar Town from village Ramnagar which is one of the site of the oldest civilization. Population data is taken from census of India 1991, 2001 and 2011.Information is also sourced from relevant reports and available literature on urbanization, trends and processes.Graphs and tools are used to depict the trend of urbanization.Different reasons of growing population has been examined with their impact on Infrastructure and civic amenities. Key Words: HISTORY OF URBANIZATION The early Harappan sites tend to be concentrated in the eastern part of Bahawalpur, close to the Indian border, the eastern part of Ganganagar district. The distribution of the mature Harappan sites in India covers a narrow belt in the Ganganagar district of Rajasthan.Harappan sites of all periods are concentrated in a narrow south-west and north-west belt along the dry course of Ghaggar river. EMERGENCE OF NEW ERA TOWN Irrigation projects implemented by British Colonial engineers transformed environment, economy and society in the Indus basin during the late 19th and 20th century. In addition to construct canal, headworks and distributaries, colonial officers design new cities to facilitate administration and global commerce in South Asia frontier areas.
