RESTRUCTURING THE ELECTRICITY GRID IN THE PROVINCE OF TERNA MEETS THE CITIZENS OF ATRI

• On Tuesday, 25 June, Terna technicians will be available to citizens at the Atri Town Hall for a presentation of the project

• The restructuring works will increase the security and efficiency of the local electricity grid

Rome, 24 June 2019 – Terna will meet with the citizens of Atri next Tuesday 25 June between the hours of 11.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m., at the Atri Town Hall, to present the restructuring works for the 380 kV and 132 kV electricity grid in the Province of Teramo, particularly the works which fall within the Atri territory. Terna’s technicians will be available to citizens to explain the interventions planned as part of the project and to answer questions from participants, with the aim of sharing the plan for the completion of the work.

The restructuring of the grid in the Province of Teramo will increase the security and efficiency of the local electricity system, ensuring that energy requirements will be adequately met, by constructing a second supply route to the high-voltage Adriatic backbone and reducing energy losses due to transport.

The project for the restructuring of the electricity grid involves two areas of intervention in particular: one within the Municipalities of Teramo, Montorio al and , with the expansion of the electrical substation and the construction of 380 kV and 132 kV connections, and the other within the territories of Atri, , Morro D’oro and , with the construction of the new 132 kV “Cellino Attanasio - Roseto” power line.

During the meeting, it will also be possible to make observations and suggestions about the project by filling out a special form, which will be provided to participants.
