Following his excellent outing yesterday, in which he fi red 7.2 innings of shutout ball with three punchouts, Texas Rangers hurler Bartolo Colon is the next-closest pitcher to the 2,500-strikeout club. The 21-year-veteran will go into his next start with 2,486 punchouts for his career.
