It’s Back to Laughs This September at Empire City Casino

(Yonkers, NY) - While the kids head back to school, it’s back to laughs at Empire City Casino with a pair of Nights on September 12 and September 26, headlined by ’s Tony Woods and Inside alum, Carmen Lynch. Comedy Night at Empire City Casino is Westchester’s best-kept secret, featuring some of the nation’s funniest performers. Tickets are sold the night of the show starting at just $5 for Empire Club members and include a complimentary cocktail.

September 12 On September 12, world-renowned comedian Tony Woods brings his routine to Empire City. Born in North Carolina and raised in the D.C. area, Woods has performed all over the world including the UK, Australia, and Europe. Woods began his career as an original member of ' Def Comedy Jam on HBO and P. Diddy's Bad Boys of Comedy. His recent appearances include Tony Woods, Comedy Central’s USO Tour, and Comedy Central’s World Comedy Tour. Woods has also appeared on , A&E’s Caroline’s Comedy Hour, Showtime at the Apollo, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and Australia's popular sports & variety entertainment television program The Footy Show.

Featured performer Kim Congdon will join Woods on the 12th. Congdon currently co-hosts the podcast Stoned Science with fellow comedian Sara Weinshenk. On the podcast, Congdon and Weinshenk explore the depths of Science over cannabis selections. Previously, Congdon has written for various Comedy Central Roasts and was on seasons 2 and 3 of Comedy Central Battles.

The host of the night is Brooklyn’s own Crystian Ramirez who has performed on Last Comic Standing, Adam Devine’s House Party and Gotham Comedy Live.

September 26 Taking the stage on September 26 is bilingual Spanish-speaking comedian Carmen Lynch, who is well-known on the late- night television show circuit having performed on Conan, Late Show with David Letterman and Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Currently, Lynch hosts a web series entitled Apt 3C with her roommates Chris Vongsawat, Liz Miele, and Pasta, their professional cat model roommate. Lynch’s debut comedy album, Dance Like You Don’t Need the Money, was released in 2017 to rave reviews. The Laugh Button describes it as, “a perfect first dive into Lynch’s material, smart and deceptively dark when delivered with her trademark, wide-eyed grin.” Lynch has also appeared on Comedy Central, Last Comic Standing and .

Joining Lynch on the 26th is the tristate’s own Dave Sirus, who began doing stand-up in high school, and then sketch & interview comedy while at Syracuse University. Sirus is most known for his video interviews at “Brick Stone”, as well as his appearance on Sirius/XM’s The Opie & Anthony Show, HuffPost Live, and season 1 of NuvoTV's Stand Up and Deliver. Behind-the-scenes, Sirus has also written for several shows & series including NBC’s Saturday Night Live, and Hulu’s Triumph, the Insult Dog’s Summer Election Special.

The host of the night, Mary Beth Barone, is a Manhattan-based comedian, improviser, and actor. She performs stand-up all over the country at venues like Gotham Comedy Club, the Upright Citizens Brigade (on both coasts), and The Good Good Comedy Theatre in Philadelphia.

Doors for each comedy show open at 7:00 p.m., with performances beginning at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are sold at the door the night of each show. Admission is $5 for Empire Club members and $25 for non-members; non-members can stop by any promotions booth prior to the show and join the Empire Club for free. Empire Club Elite and President cardholders gain free admission. All attendees receive a complimentary drink ticket.
