Remy Pannier has been identified with premium quality Valley wines since 1885, when it was founded by Francois Rémy. In 1956, Remy Pannier decided to partner with Maison Ackerman, the pioneer of Loire sparkling wine production. Ackerman then passed the company down to his son, Louis Ackerman, who kept the tradition of fine winemaking in the family for generations.

Over the years, Remy Pannier has developed strong working relationships with over 800 growers throughout the . Working closely with these affiliated growers, Remy Pannier provides advice on the latest viticultural practices to ensure production of the finest quality grapes.

Remy Pannier has built three state-of-the-art wineries in the premier Loire Valley wine districts of Anjou, Touraine and the Pays Nantais where all their Loire Valley wines are vinified. Remy Pannier’s attractive packaging reflects over a century of tradition and experience in Loire Valley winemaking.

PRODUCTION AREA Country: Region: Loire Valley

Produced from vineyards between Nantes and the Touraine region of the Loire Valley. The soil is a mixture of tuffeau (chalk) and sand.

GRAPE VARIETIES 50% Cabernet Franc, 40% Grolleau, 10% Gamay

VINIFICATION The yield is approximately 65 hl/ha. Grapes are picked at maturity to obtain natural sugar for this semi-sweet wine. Bunches are pressed immediately to preserve freshness and a bright color. Low temperature fermentation preserves red fruit flavors and aromas. No malolactic fermentation takes place. The wine is stored in stainless steel tanks with temperature control (13°C) until bottling.

DESCRIPTION Color: Delicate salmon pink Aroma: Aromas of strawberries and cherries Taste: Elegant, sweet, supple and fruity, with enticing flavors of wild strawberries and red cherries.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS This wine is a delicious start to any meal and pairs well with cheeses, cold pasta salads, seafood and appetizers such as fried calamari and spinach/artichoke dip.
