Since Council was sworn in on December 1, we have been very in SHUNIAH!?!?! busy addressing the business of the Municipality. Reviewing See page 6 the services provided in the Municipality and working with staff to set a budget for the current year, Council continues to review the list of considerations that the residents of Shuniah have been asking for. In the coming months residents will see community consultation on an updated strategic plan and Council is looking forward to hearing from the community on the topics that are important to them. New programming at the MacGregor Rec Center has included a Community Garden project that has many participants gathering to develop this concept and bringing our community together, as well as ad- ditional programming for all ages. Members of Council at- tended conferences this past winter which brought new information, ideas and a review of what possibilities lay within our Municipality. We also attended delegations with Ministers regarding goals and objectives for Council and the community going forward. This Council has come together quickly to work as a team for the best interests of the Municipality as a whole, and look for- ward to good things to come.
