 College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP)  Provides academic and financial support services to freshman students from migrant and/or seasonal farmworker backgrounds.  Various colleges/universities offer CAMP – look up your college/university if interested.  Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC)  Group of college and university-based officer training programs for training commissioned officers of the United States Armed Forces  In exchange for a paid college education and a guaranteed post- college career, participants commit to serve in the military after graduation  Various colleges/universities offer ROTC – look up your college/university if interested. How to request your HS Transcript?

 Step One → Go to www.cascadesd.org  Step Two → Top Right Hand Corner, “Select A School”  Drop down and select “Cascade High School”  Step Three → Scroll to the bottom of the page (bottom right hand corner) and select “Transcript Request”  Kathy Wendlandt will receive this information and process it accordingly.  Demonstrate How to request your college transcript(s)?

 Each college/university might look slightly different and/or use a different system.  For each college transcript you need, use the search bar and search “transcript request”  It’ll take you through the correct prompts regarding what type of transcript you’d like to receive (official, unofficial) and how (mail, e-transcript, etc.)  Here’s an example … Common Application?

 What is a recommendation letter?  It’s written by someone who can positively attest to an individual’s work or academic performance. They are typically sent to a hiring manager, admissions officer and/or scholarship committee’s – those who are deciding whether to employ or admit a candidate.  Who should it come from?  A person who is in a position of authority or otherwise has a reputation that will mean something to the person receiving the letter (i.e., teacher, administrator, employer, pastor, coach, mentor, etc.)  Ask recommenders EARLY and give them TIME!  Please see “Request for Letter of Recommendation” attachment provided in this email. Technical/Vocational Institutions
