• Rapidly expanded our 999 & 111 call handler teams by training new staff and volunteers, inc. furloughed British Airways & Virgin cabin crews

• Built an extra 999 call handling facility and trained around 130 2nd year students (from our partner universities) to answer COVID specific calls • Strengthened our clinical assessment teams in 999 & 111 to effectively and safely triage patients • Collaboration with ambulance services nationwide to develop and agree a national 999 call handling mutual aid framework to support surges in 999 calls and maintain resilience.

• Partnership with the AA to enable our workshops to run 24/7 to keep vehicles on the road • 62 extra new ambulances urgently commissioned into service

• 51 second hand vehicles bought/leased • Converted 50 non-emergency transport (NETs) vehicles for frontline ambulance use • Transformation of our logistics operation to deliver over 1m items of PPE in 6 weeks

• Transferred staff and volunteers from office-based & other frontline roles

• Recruited 100+ new clinicians and former/retired LAS staff

• Bought in around 90 3rd year student to work alongside our experienced crews on the road

• Partnered with the to train around 400 firefighters to work alongside paramedics driving ambulances and supporting care

• Partnered with the Service to train around 75 police officers to work alongside our paramedics in the second wave.

• More patients are receiving care closer to home when appropriate

• Between 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 the % of patients conveyed to ED has reduced due to increased utilisation of ACPs.

• A significant decrease in % Conveyed to ED can be seen in March and April 2020 as a result of the COVID impact during Wave 1.

• Brought all health and wellbeing initiatives together in a central Wellbeing Hub. Access to 24/7 wellbeing support. • Tea Trucks – refreshments to ambulance crews at hospitals across London • Wellbeing webinars in collaboration with NWL Mental Health lead • Isolation packs and provision of hot and cold meals across the Trust. • Virtual messrooms – for staff shielding or isolating

• By November achieved 78% vaccination rate for Flu vaccines • Secured early access to COVID-19 vaccine and have focused our efforts on promoting up take across the Trust.

• Recruited two Violence Reduction Officers as part of our ongoing work to protect staff. • Started a Body Worn Camera Trial in February 2021
