BRACE CLASS

USE OF RAMPS A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give notice to the show superintendent/show secretary prior to judging. AKC approval is not required. The entire entry in a breed is to be examined in the same manner (ground, table, or ramp). At the discretion of the judge, the following breeds may be judged on the ground or on a ramp through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging: Lagotto Romagnolo, Retrievers (Nova Scotia Duck Tolling, Spaniels (American Water), Spaniels (English Springer), Spaniels (Field), Spaniels (Welsh Springer), Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen, Standard Schnauzers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terrier, Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Finnish , Entlebucher Mountain Dog, , Icelandic Sheepdogs, , Polish Lowland Sheepdogs, Spanish Water Dogs, Norrbottenspets (Misc). At the discretion of the judge through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging, the following breeds may be judged on the ground, a ramp, or on a table: Spaniels (Boykin), Whippets and Miniature Bull Terriers. At the discretion of the judge through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging, the following breeds may be judged on the a ramp, or on a table: Mudi (Misc). The following breeds must be judged on a ramp through all levels of conformation competition: Spaniels (Clumber), Spaniels (Sussex), Basset Hounds, Cirneco dell'Etna, Bulldogs, Chinese Shar-Pei, Chow Chows, and Keeshonden. This extends to all conformation competition at AKC conformation dog shows and any AKC event where a conformation title may be earned. This policy includes Group, BIS, Junior Showmanship, the 4– 6 Month Beginner Puppy Competition, the AKC National Owner-Handled Series (NOHS), and all other special attractions that offer Group and BIS competitions. Ramps can be used in emergency situations to judge any breed. In emergency situations where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION Novice Junior 9 & under 12 yrs • Open Junior 9 & under 12 yrs Novice Intermediate 12 & under 15 yrs • Open Intermediate 12 & under 15 yrs Novice Senior 15 & under 18 yrs • Open Senior 15 & under 18 yrs • Master Class Novice Class - shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who at the time entries close have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class. A first place in Novice without competition leading to a Best Junior award with competition would count as one win towards moving to Open at a licensed or member show. Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition, if a win in Novice leads to a Best Junior with competition present it will count as one win towards moving to Open, after the closing of entries for a show are required to transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class by notifying the Superintendent or Show Secretary prior to the judging of the class at the show. Open Class - shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who have won three (3) first place awards in a Novice Class or if a win in Novice leads to a Best Junior with competition present it will count as one win towards moving to Open in a licensed or member show. Master Class - will be for boys & girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won 10 Best Junior wins with competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and must change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to complete for the following year.

No entry may be changed or cancelled unless notice of the change or cancellation is received in writing by the Superintendent or Show Secretary named in the premium list to receive entries, prior to the closing date and hour for entries, except that a correction may be made from one age division to another, as well as, move from Master to Open or Open to Novice if a win has been disallowed or the Junior miscalculated number of placements, provided this transfer is made by the Superintendent or Show Secretary prior to the judging of the class at the show. NOTICE: Junior Handlers must include their AKC JUNIOR HANDLER NUMBER on each entry. You may obtain your junior identification number by calling the AKC, Judges Education Department (919) 233-9767.

AKC NATIONAL OWNER-HANDLED SERIES ALL BREED SHOWS - FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY The AKC Naonal Owner-Handled Series is a non-tling compeon for dogs that are exhibited by their owners that are not professional handlers. “DON’T FORGET TO CHECK THE OWNER-HANDLED BOX ON THE ENTRY FORM IF ENTERING THIS COMPETITION.” All dogs that are owner-handled and are not exhibited in the Naonal Owner-Handled Series by professional handlers* meet the requirements for this compeon. Exhibitors must declare their dog is Owner-Handled eligible at the me of entry using the check box on the entry form. Eligible dogs will be idenfied by an asterisk in the steward’s book & the catalog. Dogs must be handled throughout the breed level compeon for the regular show by an eligible owner. Professional handlers, household members and current assistants to professional handlers may not exhibit the dog in any AKC Naonal Owner-Handled Series compeon during the enre show. A current assistant is defined by anyone employed by a professional handler on a full-me basis, or assisng a professional handler at the show or any show during the cluster/weekend, however current assistants that are eligible to compete in Junior Showmanship (meet age and amateur status requirements) may parcipate in NOHS. Owner-Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the dogs that are compeng in the Best of Breed compeon including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and winners of the non-regular classes. The breed will not be represented in the Owner-Handled Group if there is no eligible dog compeng in the Best of Breed, or in Best of Winners compeon. *Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers’ organizaon, distributed rate cards, or otherwise adversed or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay within the last five years. 8 June 11th-13th, 2021

AKC Sanconed 4-6 Month Beginner Puppy Compeon Secon 1- Classificaons The Four-to-Six Month Puppy compeon shall be for dogs that are four months of age and over but under six months on the day of the event. Classes will be offered for breeds and variees and divided into Groups as described in Chapter 3, Secon 1 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows and the Miscellaneous Class breeds as listed in Chapter 3, Secon 23. The Miscellaneous class compeon will be the equivalent of Group compeon and the winner will be eligible to com- pete in Best Four-to-Six Month Puppy in Show. The FSS compeon will be the equivalent of Group compeon and the winner will be eligible to compete in Best Four-to-Six Month Puppy in Show. Secon 2 – Entry and Eligibility Entry and eligibility requirements include: • The Four-to-Six Month Puppy event may be offered at licensed or member dog shows at the opon of the show giving club. • Four-to-Six Month Puppy Compeon must be listed in the premium list, entry form and judging schedule, if offered. • AKC registraon number or an AKC lier number will be required for all entries of an AKC recognized breed as listed in Chapter 3, Secon 1 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows. • A foreign born dog may enter this class if they are registered in the country of origin. • FSS number or FSS registered lier number will be required for Miscellaneous and FSS breed entries. • All entrants are to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinari- an’s protocol. • Dogs that are owned or co-owned by a professional handler may compete in this class, but must be handled by a non-professional handler. Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers’ organizaon, dis- tributed rate cards, or otherwise adversed or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay within the last five years. Dogs may not be exhibited by current assistants and household members of a professional handler.

There will be Puppy, Bred By Exhibitor, and Open Classes for each of the Miscellaneous Breeds in each sex. Winners from these classes will compete for Best of Breed & Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed in each breed. Each Miscellaneous Best of Breed winner shall be eligible to compete for Best in Miscellaneous Class. All entries for Best in Miscellaneous Class shall be made aer judging of the individual Miscellaneous breed classes. In the event that the owner of a dog designated Best of Breed shall not exhibit the dog in the Best of Miscellaneous Class Compeon, no other dog of the same breed shall be allowed to compete. There shall be no further com- peon for dogs entered in the Miscellaneous Class. Ribbons shall conform to Chapter 5, Secon 2 of AKC Rules.

Rally Ring Size 50’x60’ In Obedience and Rally Classes requiring jumps, entries MUST include the Dog’s Jump Height Obedience and Rally Classes with Jumps will be judged in Ascending Order beginning with 4” Qualifying Score Required For All Prizes A Dark Green Qualifying Ribbon will be given to each dog attaining a Qualifying Score. Transfers will be allowed at this trial per AKC regulations PLEASE NOTE: Request for refunds for bitches who come in season after entries close must be made in writing, accompanied by a veterinarian’s certificate, and presented to the Superinten- dent no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of judging.

**According to Chapter 1, Section 24 of AKC Rally Regulations, entries will be limited. Each Rally Trial will be limited to 100 entries (Friday-Sunday). When rally entries are limited, AKC requires that RAE class & RACH class be listed in the premium. If due to entry limits an exhibitor cannot be entered in both the Advanced B and Excellent B classes the RAE class will be considered closed and any subsequent entries for this class will be unacceptable in their entirety. If due to entry limits an exhibitor cannot be entered in the Advanced B, Excellent B and Master classes the RACH class will be considered closed and any subsequent entries for this class will be unacceptable in their entirety.

Spaces will measure Approximately 8’x8’ the prepaid cost of $50.00 per space for all 3 days. If adjoining spaces required, request must be mailed together in the same envelope. You may groom from your vehicle for free in the main parking lot, please be prepared to bring the necessary equipment to keep your dog and yourself protected from the elements. RV Parking In dry camping, prepaid cost of $20.00 per day. Generators must be off by 10:30 pm. All RVs using generators must have exhaust stacks or run out exhaust vents to the aisle. Limited electric hookups available on a first come first served basis based on date reserved. Electrical spaces prepaid cost is $35.00 per day must have 50’ extension cord and be prepared to plug into a 30 amp or 50 amp service. All trailers must be unhitched from tow vehicle, unless total length of rigging is less than 35’. Extra vehicles including addional trailers must fit in your space. If they don’t fit, contact RV chair for parking locaon. If requesng two spaces your second space will probably be non-electrical. Most spaces will be 40x22. If you cannot fit all your items in your space, please reserve two spaces. Box Truck/Prime Reserved Parking There will be a limited number of Box Truck/Reserved Parking Spaces the prepaid cost of $50.00 for all 3 days on the West side of the Exhibion Building, lined up behind our tradional Box Trucking Parking. There will be no electricity. You will be provided a space to park your car with a single canopy. You may bring a generator and use this space as you see fit. No aisles will be made between spaces. This space will simply be a larger space than regular parking, providing a place to groom as you please, and allow for social distancing as you see fit.

SHOW HOURS - 6:00 am to 8:00 pm

The availability of ringside crang is limited. No unaended fabric crates in the holding area. Please be considerate of other exhibitors and our vendors in these congested areas. .

The Show Site will be available to exhibitors at 5:00 pm ll 8:00 pm Thursday. No dogs may be le in the building overnight. The Building will be locked at 8:00 pm Thursday and open from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The doors will be locked aer cleanup on Sunday. Dogs must be removed from the show site immediately following close of judging, Sunday. No generators allowed in the building.

There will be limited on-site dog bathing and expanded public exercise pens.

NO vehicles in the building.

NO SPACE WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR UNENTERED DOGS AND NO UNENTERED DOGS OR PUPPIES WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING.

Clean up on the show grounds and in the show ring is the responsibility of the exhibitor. THIS IS A SELF-CLEANING SHOW. Ring Stewards will be glad to hold your dogs while you clean up.

No Smoking will be allowed in any building. To do so will jeopardize our use of this facility in the future.

No Baby Strollers or child wagons for the safety of your child. Due to crowded condions, we require all strollers and wagons to be parked by the main doorways and small children should be carried for their safety. Parents are responsible for their children & their safety.

The club will not tolerate any double handling of any breeds by any person at any me. Any person who aempts to aid or interfere with any dog in the ring may be subject to acon by the Show Commiee.

Any arguments or abusive language toward club volunteers may cause an Event Commiee Hearing.

The Show Commiee reserves the right to make such regulaons, as they deem necessary (not to conflict with AKC Rules) on the day of the show.

Reserved parking will be available for campers, motor homes and trailers at $35.00 per night with electric. $20.00 per night no electric. Limited electric spaces available. No water available. There is no Dump Staon. Please see the reservaon form on Pages 19 & 20 or plumcreekkennelclub.org for further informaon on reserving RV space. Release of any refuse water will not be tolerated and may cause an Event Commiee Hearing.

No power cords across roadways and power cords are not allowed to be plugged in except where allowed in main grooming area by those who have reserved grooming. No excepons

CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR WITH INTER- NATIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS.

A Recording Fee of 50 cents for each dog and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 will be required for each recordable single entry class at any Licensed or Member Club Show or Obedience Trial. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2). A $3.50 AKC Recording Fee will be required for the first entry in Rally and $3.00 for each additional entry in Rally. (American Kennel Club Rally Regulation, Chapter 1, Section 5). A $2.00 Event Service Fee will be required for each entry in 4-6 Month Beginner Puppy. $2.00 Event Service Fee will be required for each entry in FSS Open Shows. These Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club.

RETURNED CHECKS / INVALID CREDIT CARDS do not constitute a valid entry. The Superintendent will add a collection fee of $25 to the amount of each returned check and credit card. Subsequent returned checks and credit card from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a cash-only basis. Entry Fee will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee.

No entry fees will be refunded if the Show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturb- ances, fire, extreme and or dangerous weather conditions, an Act of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or the Superintendent.

No Refund for Duplicate Entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made.

Refunds made for cancellation of entries before the closing date will be subject to a $3.00 administrative/ processing fee per entry.

No Entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing prior to close of entries. Those received by telephone are not acceptable.

Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor the Superintendent will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up the class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings.

Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations.

The show giving club, the Superintendent, their agents, employees, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers to any of their dogs or property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to children. PUBLICATION RIGHTS By entering this show, all owners, handlers, breeders and kennels agree that all rights to televise, videotape, photograph, advertise, promote and publicize or otherwise exploit this show, or the persons or animals participating in it or the results of the competition before, during or after the event, shall belong solely to The American Kennel Club and their respective assigns, including the use of the names, likenesses or biographical matter of all dogs, owners, handlers, breeders and kennels participating in the show and no such owner, handler, breeder or kennel shall allow any other party to make commercial use of any videotape or photograph of any person or animal participating in this competition.

In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed compeon: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed compeon is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Event Class) Consult the classificaon in this premium list.
