Dear friends anglers,

Just few lines for expressing my greetings and for welcoming the athletes who will meet in Valencia on 1 and 2 April for celebrating the first Feeder Fishing World Championship for Clubs.

Again, the Fishing Federation of Valencia (FPCV) has demonstrated its dynamism, its good management and brilliant promotion of sport fishing, which has become one of the pillars of the Spanish Federation of Fishing and Casting (FEPYC). From here I want to thank its entire organization, all its efficient and enthusiastic people and, in particular for this event, the Delegation of Valencia and its regional president and great friend Don Jose Segura Barbacil.

The city of Valencia and its coastline is a very important touristic attraction. Moreover, during those days, you will have the chance of appreciating its famous fishing venue, its climate, its magnificent beaches, its historical monuments and its excellent and varied cuisine, as well as its people welcoming and hospitality, whenever the sport fishing knocks at its door.

We thank the International Federation of Fresh Water Fishing (F.I.P.S.e.d.), for entrusting us with the organization of this new competition, in which the best Feeder International Clubs will compete together. We also thank the Sports Council for the support that it always provides us during international competitions.

Thanks to the efforts of everybody, this World Championship will shine of its own light.

VALENCIA AND FORTALENY

Valencia is a city of Spain and the capital of Valencia. Third most populous country with a unique cultural, linguistic, culinary and tourist wealth city. In Valencia we can arrive by plane as it has its own airport or we can also use the nearby airports of Madrid, Barcelona and Alicante.

Fortaleny is a town of about 1,000 population located south of Valencia, famous for its fishing reserve known Z.P.C.. Fortaleny is divided between the areas “Riola” with 220 pegs and "Fishing School" with 100 pegs, which will host the competition depending on the number of registered teams.

VENUES

The venues, well known for the number of national and international competitions hosted, are characterized for the big fishes that live in it, mainly carps, crucians and bleaks with the possibility of mullets, black bass and zanders. The average depth of the venue ranges between 4 and 5 meters.

School Fishing of Valencia Federation is a closed place of 2000 square meters where we have come to give classes to 220 children at a time.

F.I.P.S.e.d. OFFICIAL INFORMATION

For the 1st Feeder Fishing World Championship for Clubs the F.I.P.S.e.d. Steering Committee decided to authorize a maximum of 2 Clubs for Nation.

The venue maximal available capacity is of 45 Clubs composed of 4 anglers each. Hence, under no circumstances, a higher number of teams could be accepted.

Should more inscriptions be reached, which exceed the maximal number of the acceptable registrations, the following criteria will be adopted: 1) A priority will be given to the Clubs whose registrations has arrived before the deadline. 2) After this first selection, should the registered Clubs be more than 45, only 1 Club per Nation will be primarily accepted. In other words, the direct admission will be given to:  any Clubs that belong to the Nations that are represented by one single Club;  regarding the Nations represented by two Clubs, the priority will be fixed by the Federation of belonging. 3) Should other available places remain after this operation, the Clubs selected as second choice by their Federation will be accepted up until reaching the maximal previewed number (45), taking into consideration the arrival date of the registration form. Only the members of Clubs that belong to a national Federation affiliated with C.I.P.S. and F.I.P.S.e.d. who have fully paid their annual membership fees, shall be allowed to participate. They shall be designated by their Federations. All concerned anglers could have a nationality other than that one of belonging of the Club, on condition that these foreigners have the appropriate licence of their Club and that they are not under the effect of any disciplinary sanction. In any case, the foreign anglers can be part of a Club on condition that the following requirements are met: - the competitors shall have resided in said Country for at least 5 years and shall hold an official document proving this condition; - the application shall be forwarded by the Nation the angler wishes to represent. Competitors shall always be able to prove their nationality by means of national IDs or passports. All supporting documents shall be produced at the 1st team managers’ meeting.

BAITS AND GROUNDBAITS

In competition and training 12 liters of groundbaits and 2.5 liters of baits, of which a maximum amount of 0.5 liter can be worms, are allowed. No bloodworms and jokers are allowed.
