"DePaw.com" (04/12-13/01) Paul Solman, business, economics and occasional art correspondent for the PBS NewsHour, led a spirited two-day seminar addressing business reporting by developing a role-playing exercise in which Media Fellows students operated a petstore "dotcom" (DePaw.com) and Management Fellows students acted as print reporters trying to ferret out a story about the health of the company.

"Women in Media" (10/19/00) Alumni Barbara Blakemore, Beth Bogie and Chris Boeke participated in a panel on the changing roles of women in the media. The discussion focused on their own varied experiences and perspectives throughout the last fifty years.

DePauw University Media Wall of Fame (5/7/99) The DePauw University Media Wall of Fame inducted two new people on the 50th anniversary of the founding of WGRE: Elizabeth Turnell and Robert Giles.

WGRE 50th Anniversary Celebration (4/25/99) WGRE celebrated its 50th anniversary with a week of special events, including a documentary about the radio station, an alumni panel on the future of radio, and a speech by Edward Fritts, president and CEO of the National Association of Broadcasters.
