It is fitting in Manchester, the of , that the Landlord actively encourages low carbon means of transport. 40 Spring Gardens was the 2011 silver award winner of the Green Apple awards hosted at the House of Commons. The award was made for our bicycle initiative which allows any occupant of 40 Spring Gardens to borrow one of our four bicycles to take out to make deliveries, lunchtime cycle rides or to take out on a short term loan. As well as the bicycles we have 6 cycle helmets of various sizes, locks, lights and high visibility vests. The bicycles are maintained and servic ed by a local bicycle shop every 6 months.
