MAC SERIES THIS WEEK: Familiar Faces Central Michigan at Ohio Eastern Michigan at Western Michigan After serving as the team’s volunteer assistant from 2015-17, Barrett Serrato returned to Kent Toledo at Ball State State as the team’s recruiting coordinator and assistant coach in 2020 and is back for 2021. Bowling Green at Akron Serrato returns and takes over for Derek Simmons, who left after the 2019 to join the staff of the NIU at Miami Indiana Hoosiers. From 2015-17 Serrato spent his time working with infielders and serving as the Kent State at/vs Dayton team’s hitting coach. During those three seasons, Kent State won two Mid-American Conference MAC REGULAR SEASON TITLES: titles and three East Division crowns. 15 Kent State 15 Ohio He spent the 2018 and 2019 seasons as an assistant coach with the Lee University Flames, a 14 Western Michigan Division-II school in Tennessee.
