OUR JUDGES

Wesely Schiffman (Crossbow) [USA] — Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. As long as I can remember dogs have been a great part of my life. My love of Cavaliers started in grade school where I meet Jackie Hahn who had just moved to California from England. Soon thereafter on a trip to England with Jackie I met my first Cavalier, a Tri owned by her aunt. My dream came true in 1983 when David and I adopted our very first Cavalier, a tri boy Ravenrush Already. Soon he was followed by a female Maxholt Secret Image. Then came the love of my life Kindrum Savanah of Crossbow who produce many champions and champion grandchildren. This followed with many more wonderful and great Cavaliers, a RBIS at CKCSC National Specialty with Ricksbury Wilma of Crossbow was a lifetime memory. I have been showing for over 30 years. I have judge many regional shows as well judging at the CKCSC National Specialty, and CKCSC National Trudy Albrecht Rally Specialty. I’m pleased to be coming back to judge in England. In 2008 I was awarded by the EKC to give championship certificates in CKCS. I’m honoured to have been asked by the Committee to judge for the Three Counties Pekingese & Cavaliers Society and look forward to a very special and enjoyably day for all. Sarah Maddison — King Charles Spaniel B List sponsored by King Charles Spaniel Association I have owned a total of 9 King Charles with 6 of them gaining their Stud Book numbers. My first King Charles Spaniel, Lukanloran Winston Gold, was born on 9th November 1994. I have been a member of The King Charles Spaniel Club, Northern King Charles Spaniel Club and King Charles Spaniel Association since 1995 / 1996. I was elected to the committee of the King Charles Spaniel Club in March 2001. At the Committee meeting in December 2006 I was asked to look after the King Charles Spaniel Club website and have looked after it since then. I am also on the Committee of several shows in the area where I live.

Pauline Sidgwick (Paulian) — Pekingese, Japanese Chin, Papillon, English Toy Terrier (Black & Tan), Griffon Bruxellois, AVNSC Toy, AV Imported Breed Register Toy, AV Toy, BIS. I first became involved with the dog showing world as a youngster, when I acquired a rescue Boxer. I began with child handling classes and basic obedience training. Once married, along with husband Ian, I began showing Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. This was back in the early 70’s. Since those days we have both been actively involved in all aspects of the dog show world. We have made up and bred champions in Cavaliers, King Charles, and Miniature Long Haired Dachshunds. Now passed to award Challenge Certificates in Cavaliers, King Charles, Papillons, , Chihuahuas, Miniature Pinschers, I will judge my first Championship Toy Group in October 2019. I am looking forward to judging the following breeds for this society, the Japanese Chin (B list judge) Pekingese (A3 list judge), Papillon (A1 list judge), English Toy Terrier (B list judge), and look forward to meeting you all on the day.

Your dog is vulnerable and at risk during hot weather and the Kennel Club offers the following guidance to help guide you through the do’s and don’ts travelling to and whilst at KC licensed events. • When travelling to a show please take a moment to consider whether the route to the show is on a busy holiday route, and leave earlier to avoid increased time in traffic jams. • If your vehicle is not air-conditioned seriously consider whether travelling to the show is a good idea at all. • The vehicle should be as fully ventilated as possible, and plenty of stops should be taken, with lots of water available to drink. • Ensure your dog is not sitting in full sunlight. There should be plenty of free flowing air around the dog. • When at the show, never leave your dog in the vehicle. • Keep the dog in the shade - take your own shade for example a large umbrella and always have plenty of water available to drink so your dog stays well hydrated. • Avoid your dog taking part in unnecessary exertion, or from standing in exposed sunlight for extended lengths of time. Remember, if you feel hot your dog is very likely to feel much hotter and dehydrated, and this could lead to dire results. Please look after your dog’s welfare. WARNING: IF YOUR DOG IS FOUND TO BE AT RISK FORCIBLE ENTRY TO YOUR VEHICLE MAY BE NECESSARY WITHOUT LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED. 17. Anyone whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should take all reasonable steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and should not put a dog’s health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or otherwise. Breach of Kennel Club Regulations in this respect may be referred to the Board for disciplinary action under the Kennel Club Rules and Regulations. The use of pinch collars, electronic shock collars, or prong collars, is not permitted at any show licensed by the Kennel Club. This shall apply at the venue or within the precincts of the show. 18. Not for Competition entries will be accepted. Details of each dog so entered must be recorded on the entry form and must be Kennel Club registered. 19. No modificationswill be made to this Schedule except by permission of the Board of the Kennel Club, which will be followed by advertisement in the Canine Press wherever possible. 20. Any owner, competitor, handler or other person in charge of a dog is required to remove as soon as possible any fouling caused by their dog(s) at any Kennel Club licensed show within the licensed venue and within the environs of that event including car and caravan parks and approaches. Adequate receptacles for the disposal of such fouling will be provided. 21. The Committee of the show reminds exhibitors that grooming products on sale may not meet the requirements of Regulations for the Preparation of Dogs for Exhibition. 22.
