The Kittansett Club Seasonal Assistant PGA Professional The Kittansett Club is now accepting resumes for the position of Assistant PGA Professional for the 2020 Season. The Position This entry level Seasonal Assistant Golf Professional will be involved in every aspect of the Golf Operation at Kittansett. The successful candidate will have the responsibility of managing Kittansett’s Corporate Outing business, Member Monday Program, and Member “Nine and Dine” events. The busy calendar of Member Events will require an individual that is highly organized and detail-oriented. The Assistant Professional will also be expected to be a team player willing to assist in all areas of the Golf Operation. A large emphasis will be put on individual character traits. The individual must have an engaging and warm personality and have an appreciation for customer service at its highest level. Specific Responsibilities will include:

 Spread hospitality and goodwill among all members, guests and fellow staff.  Welcome all members and guests in the golf shop and around the club; anticipate and assist in their daily needs.  Play golf with the membership on a regular basis.  Understand the entire operation thoroughly: o Kittansett Club rules and regulations. o Golf Operation’s policies and procedures.  Assist Head Professional in training all staff members.  Manage the Corporate Outing Business and Member Monday Program.  Instruct private lessons, group clinics, and junior clinics.  Coordinate daily play without the use of tee times and manage pace of play  Assist golf shop manager with displaying and maintaining golf shop merchandise.  Assist with all duties related to outside services This position is designed to train and educate the Assistant so that they may become a lead assistant at Kittansett or at another facility. Compensation and Benefits The financial package will be commensurate with the experience level of the selected candidate including:

The Kittansett Club Seasonal Assistant PGA Professional The Club Kittansett is a summer Club located on Butler Point in Marion, MA. Founded in 1922, the Club has had five Head Professionals since its inception. The course is a William Flynn and Frederic Hood design, with a classic course layout and routing that includes a mix of both seaside and inland holes. Currently, the course is ranked #78 in ’s list of 100 Best Golf Courses in the and ranked consistently within the top 5 in Massachusetts. The Club hosted the 1953 Walker Cup and continues its tradition of hosting numerous state and regional events with the 2020 Massachusetts Amateur Championship and 2022 USGA Senior Amateur Championship upcoming. Approximately 15,000 rounds are played annually without tee times. Jon Tamburro, PGA Head Professional Jon is beginning his second season as the Head Golf Professional of The Kittansett Club. Originally from Marlborough, MA, he graduated from Penn State University in 2013 with a degree in PGA Golf Management. Jon has previously spent two summers at Sankaty Head Golf Club in Nantucket and the winters at Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, Florida.
