Sports Day – Friday 14th July 2017

We are delighted to inform you that the Cox Green School Sports Day will be held on Friday 14 July 2017. The day will be action packed with athletics competitions linked to Olympic events.

During assemblies this week, students will be informed of the plan for the day, and tutors have been organising their House teams during tutorial time. The times for the school day will remain the same and students are required to bring in their books and equipment for their normal timetabled lessons. When competitors are not involved in an event, they will be in normal lessons.

The event timetable for competitors:

Period 1 Year 8 competitors to report to the 3G Astro for their field events. Period 2 Year 9 &10 competitors to report to the 3G Astro for their field events. Period 3 All year group competitors to report to the 3G Astro for their track events. Period 4a Finish time, results and return to tutor bases.

All students who are competing in events will be allowed to wear full school PE kit for the whole day. Given the exceptional weather recently, please ensure you child has a hat and sun-cream and water proofs, and has plenty of water and refreshments for the day.

We look forward to an enjoyable and successful Sports Day where many House points are awarded.
