Tate Modern Course - Tate Intensive: Art Matters

A dynamic programme that focuses on key questions facing art galleries and museums in the twenty-first century

Brought together in a spirit of exchange and collaboration, Tate Intensive participants will be asked to make specific contributions to discussions during the week, drawing on their own experience and case studies from their respective organisations. Keynote speakers will include members of Tate staff, representatives of the Plus Tate network of UK visual art institutions, and other leading museum professionals and artists. Daily visits to exhibitions and collection displays at , and other London cultural institutions complement workshops and discussions held in the new Switch House at Tate Modern.

Participants

Tate Intensive comprises around 25 selected participants from around the world. We are actively seeking a diverse range of professionals working in art galleries, museums and other cultural institutions at different stages of their careers in a wide range of countries. This intimate group of culture professionals is encouraged to share knowledge and exchange ideas concerning their current practice, as well as discussing new approaches to curating, programming, audience development, governance and digital technology. Participants join an ongoing network with potential for future collaborations.

Previous keynote speakers on the Tate Intensive programme have included Maria Balshaw, Frances Morris, Farshid Moussavi, and .
