VIKING TAILGATE ZONE

TAILGATING

Responsible tailgating is available for all MVC fans prior to home football games. The Viking Tailgate Zone, located along the west side of the Burns Athletic Complex parking lot, is the designated location for tailgating. Groups, organizations, clubs and individuals may reserve single game spots or a season pass (5 games). Remaining spots are available on a first come, first served basis on game days.

• Valley College encourages responsible tailgating in an effort to enhance the gameday experience, ensure a safe atmosphere to all fans and preserve the beauty of the entire campus. • All Viking Tailgate Zone participants are expected to respect and follow all policies and procedures. • If policies are not followed, those in violation may lose privileges for the remainder of the season.

RESERVATIONS

Season Pass $100 | Single Game $25

• Tailgate spots are sold on a first come, first served basis. • In the event the team hosts a play-off game, season pass holders do not pay extra to tailgate. • To reserve your spot or for more information, contact Jennifer Swift at (660) 831-4010 or [email protected]. SET-UP INFORMATION

• Tailgate spots are approximately 30 ft. x 20 ft. • The Viking Tailgate Zone opens three hours before kickoff and closes one hour post game. • Two vehicles are allowed per tailgate spot. No exceptions. • Coal receptacles available. • You are responsible for the clearing of all trash from your reserved spot before you leave.

CAMPUS ALCOHOL POLICY

• Alcohol is permitted in the Viking Tailgate Zone ONLY. • All state laws are applicable to MVC and to all individuals on the property of the College. • Individuals must be at least 21 to consume alcohol. • No kegs allowed. • The tailgate area is monitored by MVC Campus Security and/or Marshall Police Department. • The sale of alcohol is prohibited. • For the complete MVC Campus Alcohol Policy, contact [email protected].

ELECTRICITY

• To provide a safe environment to all, MVC limits the use of electricity in the Viking Tailgate Zone. • Each electrical box holds four outlets. • Each tailgate spot is allowed to use ONE electrical outlet. • Please ensure electrical cords are in good condition—cords that have open spots or are wrapped in electrical tape or duct tape are prohibited. • Please use caution when running cords across a walkway or driveway (please be sure to provide enough slack to prevent accidents or injury). • All Viking Tailgate Zone participants are expected to respect and follow all policies and procedures.
