ST. CLOUD, Minn. (Dec. 20, 2013) – High school fans seeking a post-holiday treat need look no further than the BREAKDOWN SPORTS Granite City Classic. The scripted two- day showcase at St. Cloud Apollo High School and St. Cloud State University on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 27-28, 2013 features 14 games between top teams from around the state of Minnesota.

We’ve pulled together a terrific lineup that is highlighted by Apple Valley and the state’s top- ranked prospect, Tyus Jones. The senior guard is widely considered the best prep player to ever come out of Minnesota and his Eagles will be featured in games against Roseville and small-school power Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, which boasts of underrated senior Brian Goodwin.

The Eagles are loaded with strong prospects up and down the lineup, including freshman Gary Trent Jr., eighth-grader (yes, Tyus’ younger brother), senior forwards Dennis Austin and Robert Tobroxen and sophomore big men Cam Kirksey and Brock Bertram. B-B-E also features lanky forwards James Kuefler and Billy Borgerding, while Roseville is anchored by guards Kobe Critchley and Kyler Briggity, forward Lance Gardner and posts Jake Geyen and Derek Magnuson.

Other top teams and players include: Blake with the 1-2 punch of John Veil and JR Bascom; Big Lake anchored by forwards Austin Poe and Sam Dokkebakken and guard Michael Doperalski; Champlin Park with a powerhouse program featuring super-quick guards Ian Smith and JT Gibson along with young forward Theo John; Delano and the inside-outside punch of Damon Longstreet and Toby Hanson; Sartell-St. Stephen featuring senior guard Tom Bearson; Prior Lake and its top-level point guard Jon Sobaski; St. Francis and impressive bigs Jake Johnson and Blake Moreno; the annually potent Rocori program; Sauk Rapids-Rice and sophomore shooting guard Kobe Boraas; St. Cloud Apollo with powerful post Jeremy Koffi and Ethan Novacinski and guard Noel Teigen; and Stillwater with the trio of Kyle McKinely, Matt Anderson and Nick Ogren.

Below is the schedule of games for the two-day event.
