The iPhone 4S also comes with a few more subtle design tweaks that differentiate it from the iPhone 4, and you might miss some of those changes if you didn't have an iPhone 4 and 4S sitting side-by-side for a comparison. Antenna Improvements Phil Schiller actually did talk about the new antenna in the iPhone 4S during the most recent Apple event, but the changes to the iPhone's antenna aren't really obvious until you have the handset in your hands. One of those changes literally requires you to hold the device in your hand before you'll see it: the dreaded "death grip" of the iPhone 4 is gone in the iPhone 4S. A well-known and widely (over)publicized shortcoming of the iPhone 4's antenna design caused it to attenuate wireless signals when held a certain way. Bridging the black gap on the lower left side of the iPhone's antenna band would cause signal strength to drop for some users.

    iPhone 5S ‘You Are More Powerful Than You Think’ The Jay Chiat Awards 2015 Summary The goal of ‘iPhone 5S : You’re More Powerful Than You Think’ campaign was to reframe the smartphone category conversation and communicate the iPhone difference to consumers in a way that went far deeper than tech-and-specs. In the 12 markets we advertised at that time (U.S., Canada, Australia, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, China, Japan, Korea), iPhone was by far the most admired smartphone in market. However on the surface, to many smartphone shoppers, iPhone didn’t look that different from its less expensive competitors. But that didn’t mean they were better. In other words, none of these “facts” told the full story. The proposed tariff list covers a wide range of Apple products and the products used in our U.S. operations: Apple digital health and wireless connectivity products, including Apple Watch, Apple Pencil and Air Pods; Apple computing tools such as MacMini; Apple adapters, cables and chargers engineered for efficiency and safety; Apple-designed components and made-to-specification tooling for Apple’s U.S. manufacturing and product repair facilities; specialty testing equipment for Apple’s U.S. product development labs; and servers, hard drives and cables for Apple’s U.S. data centers that support our global services such as the App Store. We have provided a list of the proposed tariff codes that cover Apple’s products in Annex A and a list of some of the hundreds of additional proposed tariff codes that cover Apple’s inputs for U.S. operations in Annex B. We urge the Administration not to apply tariffs on these HTS lines. Our concern with these tariffs is that the U.S. will be hardest hit, and that will result in lower U.S. growth and competitiveness and higher prices for U.S.
