Tretorn was founded in Helsingborg, Sweden in 1891, and has come a long way since. Today, you can fi nd our brand in stores all over the world, from Paris and New York to Tokyo and Brazil, but we remain committed to our living heritage. For us, this means proven expertise in creating products that can withstand Scandinavian weather without getting in the way of everyday life. It also means creating products that are stylish and worn equally by city-dwellers and nature-lovers. Ultimately, Tretorn is about celebrating both style and practicality. We merge the timeless and the contemporary, sports and intellectual curiosity – and in doing so, we always take care of both form and function. From our fi rst rubber boots to the world’s fi rst luxurious tennis sneakers, Tretorn’s collections rise to any and every occasion, including the weather. We celebrate our fi rst 125 years with our contemporary Heritage collection and Båstad concept of shoes in green hues - dedicated to our tennis roots. Tretorn’s Nylite sneaker became a f a v o r i t e a t a t i m e w h e n t e n n i s s t a r s f r o m Bjorn Borg to Martina Navratilova dominated the world stage. Borg wore the shoe both on and off the court, and it rocketed to celebrity status. Nylite even appeared at Wimbledon in 1976. By the late 80s, we had also established ourselves in the world of fashion. Using innovation to drive both prac- ticality and design, our shoes became style staples. The Canvas Nylite was named the must-have sneaker style in ‘The Offi cial Preppy Handbook’. The Nylite is now an established style icon that has only gotten better with age. Our desire to innovate is constant, so we’ve updated this classic in the season’s new green hue for a bolder statement. OUR TENNIS HERITAGE
Tretorn has pioneered the sneaker, the rubber boot and even the tennis ball for more than 120 years. We’ve been synonymous with the sport for a century. In 1964, we launched the Classic XTL, which was the world’s fi rst performance tennis shoe made from leather. Then, in 1967, we released Nylite, which was celebrated as the fi rst luxurious sports shoe ever. Today, our close ties with the sport remain unchanged. We have a long-term com- mitment to supporting the Swedish national tennis teams and even became the offi cial ATP World Tour tennis ball at Båstad 2015. Standing strong since 1891, Tretorn celebrates 125 years by doing what it does best: merging the timeless with the contemporary, form with function, city with nature. In 1975, we launched the Camaro, a sneaker inspired by the Formula 1 and car racing culture. It was an instant winner. Now, for our anniversary, we’ve reintroduced it as Formel-75 in an exciting new range of colors. We’re proud of our history and our legacy, and because we celebrate contrasts, we also look forward to our future – and continuing to create everyday styles that are loved for years. The Wings collection is a guaranteed choice when it comes to quality. It launched as a simple rubber boot for life at sea. It soon became clear that the handmade, natural boot had much more to offer, and by the late 60s, Wings was featured on the pages of glossy fashion magazines. The boot features a design that merges pr a c t ic a l it y w it h s t y le. T he y a r e s t i l l h a nd m a d e f r om n a t u r a l r ubb e r, with a breathable mesh insole. Today, the original model has been joined by Wings Low, a lower version that just skims pant hemlines, and fashion pieces such as the Wings raincoat, made from PVC-free, soft PU with welded or heat-sealed seams.
