He comes to San Jac with 13 years of coaching experience, most recently at Paris Junior College where he served as head coach for two seasons. Paris Junior College Madrid has an impressive résumé, with experience at both the high school and college levels. During his time at Paris Junior College, Madrid went 24-37. Before his 2014-2015 8-22 two years at PJC, he served three years as assistant women’s basketball coach at Texas Woman’s University, where he helped the Pioneers win their first Lone Star Conference 2013-2014 16-15 tournament championship in any sport, and advance to the National Collegiate 24-37 Athletic Association South Central Region tournament. Madrid’s coaching career began at New Mexico’s Portales High School, helping the team win the 2001 Class 3A championship. After a year at Lubbock Estacado High School as a boys’ football, track, and basketball coach, he coached boys’ basketball for two years at Lubbock High School. Madrid spent five years at Lubbock Christian University under women’s head coach Steve Gomez, one as a graduate assistant and four as an assistant coach. While he was at Lubbock Christian, the team was the 2005- 2006 NAIA National Runner-Up and won the 2006-2007 Sooner Athletic Conference championship. Like all coaches, Madrid emphasizes winning. But his personal coaching philosophy is to stress winning in all areas of life, not just in sports. “I strive to help students to succeed not just in athletics, but also in academics and really in every area,” he said. “To do that, it requires being competitive, but also being consistent. We will stress the importance of graduating, and becoming well-rounded, responsible, and positive after graduation.” Madrid holds a bachelor’s degree in special education and a master’s degree in sports administration from Eastern New Mexico University. He also holds a master’s degree in education administration from Lubbock Christian University. Madrid and his wife, Sammie, have a dog named Renzo. 6 San Jacinto College Women’s Basketball 2015-2016 Coaching staff Bios Adonna Weaver Assistant Coach Second Season Southeastern Louisiana University (2009, 2014) Assistant Coach Adonna Weaver is in her second season with the San Jacinto College women’s basketball program. • 2019 IPEDS Data Feedback Report
Image description. Cover Image End of image description. NATIONAL CENTER FOR EDUCATION STATISTICS What Is IPEDS? The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) is a system of survey components that collects data from about 6,400 institutions that provide postsecondary education across the United States. These data are used at the federal and state level for policy analysis and development; at the institutional level for benchmarking and peer analysis; and by students and parents, through the College Navigator (https://nces.ed.gov/collegenavigator/), an online tool to aid in the college search process. Additional information about IPEDS can be found on the website at https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds. What Is the Purpose of This Report? The Data Feedback Report is intended to provide institutions a context for examining the data they submitted to IPEDS. The purpose of this report is to provide institutional executives a useful resource and to help improve the quality and comparability of IPEDS data. What Is in This Report? The figures in this report provide a selection of indicators for your institution to compare with a group of similar institutions. The figures draw from the data collected during the 2018-19 IPEDS collection cycle and are the most recent data available. The inside cover of this report lists the pre-selected comparison group of institutions and the criteria used for their selection. The Methodological Notes at the end of the report describe additional information about these indicators and the pre-selected comparison group. Where Can I Do More with IPEDS Data? Each institution can access previously released Data Feedback Reports from 2005 and customize this 2019 report by using a different comparison group and IPEDS variables of its choosing.
