Ediția 2019 a acestui turneu este una specială, în condițiile în care punctele câștigate în 2019 vor conta pentru calificarea sportivelor din România la Jocurilor Olimpice Tokyo 2020. Principalul criteriu de calificare a jucătorilor de tenis la Jocurile Olimpice de vară Tokyo 2020 este poziția din cele două clasamente mondiale, "Women's Tennis Association" la feminin și ”Association of Tennis Professionals” la masculin, la data de 08.06.2020.
