PNEUMATIC TOOLS Compressed air is an energy source easy to produce and handle that is used for controlling machines and other systems involving movement. Air motors do not heat up; on the contrary, they cool when operated. • Easy to repair: Their design is less complex, therefore made up of less components. • Their maintenance cost is lower than power tools because their mechanical components are simple and stronger. • They deliver greater power and higher torque than many power tools. • Their strength and speed is continuous (the air flow and pressure is easily controlled). • Can be used in humid environments because their filters remove a large amount of humidity and can be used near magnetic fields and in areas with explosive hazards, such as in mines or chemical facilities.
