PNEUMATIC TOOLS Compressed Air Is an Energy Source Easy to Produce and Handle That Is Used for Controlling Machines and Other Systems Involving Movement PNEUMATIC TOOLS Compressed air is an energy source easy to produce and handle that is used for controlling machines and other systems involving movement. The generation, storage and usage of compressed air is relatively inexpensive and has a low hazard rating relative to other energy sources like electricity and gaseous or liquid fuels. It offers a highly safe alternative in places with an inherent explosive risk, where other energy sources may pose a meaningful risk due to heat, sparks, etc. Thanks to these advantages, compressed air facilities are used in all industries, and is even used to power some air, land and ocean transportation. Why use pneumatic tools? Pneumatic tools offer the following benefits: • Greater strength with less effort: The impact mechanism drives the tool and it also weighs less; they are composed of less components, making them lighter. • Greater speed: The compressed air flow allows the tool to operate at high speeds. • Safer: There is no need to use leverage when the task requires greater torque. Hand tools pose the risk of injuring the user when applying leverage. • Easier to operate: Variable speed control, instantaneous start, reversible, and halting without internal elements. • Greater durability to continuous use: En electric motor running for long periods of time tends to wear due to overheating. Air motors do not heat up; on the contrary, they cool when operated. • Easy to repair: Their design is less complex, therefore made up of less components. • Their maintenance cost is lower than power tools because their mechanical components are simple and stronger. • They deliver greater power and higher torque than many power tools. • Their strength and speed is continuous (the air flow and pressure is easily controlled). • Can be used in humid environments because their filters remove a large amount of humidity and can be used near magnetic fields and in areas with explosive hazards, such as in mines or chemical facilities. Air Tools have a different mechanism. URREA PROFESSIONAL TOOLS groups tools in 3 main categories: Simple, Demolition, and Impact Mechanisms These mechanisms are selected depending on the tool's final use and torque required. • Hand Arm Vibration Guide
Hand Arm Vibration Guide HIRE SOLUTIONS Don't lose touch ‘Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome’ can permanently stop blood flowing to your fingers. Keep your senses. What is Hand Arm Vibration? Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) is a condition that affects people who regularly use vibratory equipment. It is estimated by the Health and Safety Executive that up to 2 million people are exposed to the risks of HAVS throughout the UK in various industries such as construction, utilities, engineering, landscaping and manufacturing. Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome causes damage to nerves, blood vessels and joints of the hand, wrist and arm. This can cause extreme pain and distress to sufferers - especially in cold weather conditions. A loss of dexterity and feeling in the hands can also be expected - meaning that simple daily tasks become impossible. Hand Arm Vibration can be prevented, providing the operator and their employer take the appropriate early steps to reduce the risks of over exposure to vibration. Once Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome has been onset it is impossible to cure. It is therefore essential that individuals know the risks and employers take the preventative measures required to protect their employees from the damaging effects of HAVS. Defend against HAVS There are some key elements to note when using vibratory power tools which many people either overlook or simply do not know. Your health and wellbeing should always be the number one priority - never use a tool in the knowledge that you risk overexposing yourself or your employees to the damaging effects of HAVS. GAP recommends taking the following precautions to help keep you safe: ● The greatest danger from Hand Arm Vibration comes when the operator is cold and wet.

Noise in industries is also an occupational hazard because of its attendant effects on workers’ health. Noise presents health and social problems in industrial operations, and the source is related to the machineries used in the industries. One of the unique features of the noise associated with wood machinery is the level of exposure and duration. Equipment used in a factory can be extremely loud. They can produce noise at decibels high enough to cause environmental health and safety concerns. The mechanically driven transport and handling equipment, cutting, milling, shaping and dust extractor installations in the wood industry generate noise. The sources of noise pollution have increased due to non-compliance with basic safety practices. The increased use of locally fabricated machine in the industry has increased the level of noise and vibration. The effects of industrial noise pollution as discussed include: increase in blood pressure; increased stress; fatigue; vertigo; headaches; sleep disturbance; annoyance; speech problems; dysgraphia, which means reading/learning impairment; aggression; anxiety and withdrawal.

Starting as far back as 2003 when ABC first introduced Extreme Makeover: Home Edition with the lovable Ty Pennington, consumers have been drawn to the dramatic transformations portrayed on television with radical before and after images. From Drew & Scott of the Property Brothers to Chip & Joanna of Fixer Upper, there’s no doubt America loves to see a beautiful home transformation unfold in a matter of days/weeks on an affordable budget. The problem with reality TV shows, however, is there is nothing realistic about what they portray; from unrealistic budgets including donated products and labor being traded for on-air advertisements, to deadlines achieved by multiple trades working on top of each other to finish a job sacrificing quality over appearance. Step inside one of the twelve newly remodeled homes on this year’s Austin NARI Tour of Remodeled Homes executed by nine of the area’s top remodelers to see what the remodeling WE’VE GOT GREAT GLASS! market is really about. From kitchens and baths to outdoor remodels and whole home transformations there is a little of everything to spark your interest and help you draw up ideas for your next remodeling project.
