LU-Choice Class 14: Oh, The Places They'll Go! Congratulations to the most recent graduates of LU-Choice! Read below for their plans next year: Maria Beckert will be staying at St. Thomas the Apostle and teaching 1st grade. She will be working on her reading endorsement this summer. Phillip Koski will be moving to Texas to pursue new opportunities. Alumna in the Spotlight: Margie Marshall Bridget Mooney will be staying at St. Ann School and teaching 4th grade. Margie (Rosmonowski) Marshall, an alumna of LU- Choice Class 7, has made quite the impact on Chicago Breanne Novak will be staying at Augustus Catholic education since she began LU-Choice in 2009. From early on, Margie was encouraged to pursue leadership opportunities, and upon receiving her Masters in Educational Administration from DePaul University, Margie next served as assistant principal at Sacred Heart in Winnetka.

Margie was in the inaugural class of the Leadership Academy through the Archdiocese of Chicago, and went on to serve as Principal of St. Cyprian School in River Grove for four years. Margie is now the principal at St. Juliana School in Chicago, and a member of the University of Notre Dame’s cohort for Transformational . Margie credits her experience in LU-Choice for providing her early experience in leadership. When asked what was the most memorable part of the program, Margie points to the friendships she made: “By living and working so closely with the other LU-Choice teachers, I had a built-in support network that is still in place years later.” Thanks to Margie for all that she continues do for Catholic education in Chicago!
