REMEMBRANCES

In an age well before the internet, Jewish communities would traditionally write down their histories and record the memories of their loved ones in Yizkor books, or books of remembrance. Today, these books, many of which are searchable online, serve as a last will and testament to these Jewish communities.
In this same tradition, each year our community remains indebted to the loving hands of our Sisterhood, who annually publishes our community Yizkor Book, our Book of Remembrance. Contained in these pages are not only holiday greetings to one another, but the names of our loved ones whom we wish to memorialize during the New Year Season by giving tzedakah in their memory.
This year, due to the pandemic, we will not only publishing this book in hard copy, but joining other Jewish communities in publishing our book online. We hope through recording the presence of our loved ones and sending greetings in this book, we will succeed in writing ourselves and our departed loved ones into our Etz Chaim story that continues from generation to generation.
This year, as in each year, may the memories of our loved ones be bound up eternally in the bonds of Life.
