Mr , Deputy Chair, in accordance with standing order 299 (1), informed the House that the Committee on Children and Young People had resolved to conduct an inquiry into the child protection and social services system, the full details of which were available on the Committee's home page.

(1) The Clerk announced that the following member had lodged paper petitions for presentation:

Ms Jo Haylen— from certain citizens requesting the purchase of new light rail vehicles and other measures to improve frequency, reliability and safety on the Inner West Light Rail.

Ms Jo Haylen-—from certain citizens requesting the introduction of a Climate Change Act which would mandate renewable energy sources.

Ms Jo Haylen—from certain citizens requesting the Legislative Assembly call upon the Sydney Local health District and NSW Health to overturn the decision to discontinue the Multicultural Health Education programs and physical activity exercise program provided by the Multicultural Health Service based at Marrickville Community Health Centre.

Ms Jo Haylen—from certain citizens requesting the Legislative Assembly direct the Minister for Primary Industries to support amateur beekeepers by abandoning a registration fee and allocating more resources to maintain a disease free and sustainable network of hives.

(2) The Clerk also announced receipt of the following ministerial response to electronic petitions signed by 500 or more persons:

Response by The Hon. Rob Stokes—received 13 October 2020—to petition lodged 15 September 2020— Requesting the Legislative Assembly reject Centennial Coal's application to move a million tonnes of coal a year over public roads in Lake Macquarie and ensure that future applications to allow coal haulage on public roads in Lake Macquarie are rejected, except for when there may be emergency short-term need to provide ongoing power generation—(Mr ).

15 NO CONFIDENCE IN THE PREMIER

Ms Jodi McKay moved, pursuant to notice, That the Premier no longer enjoys the confidence of the House given she:

(1) Turned a blind eye to corruption in her Government by failing to report her knowledge of Daryl Maguire's business dealings for six and a half years, even after his resignation from Parliament in July 2018.

(2) Failed to report a number of discussions she had with Daryl Maguire, over a number of years, about his business dealings - including congratulating him on the amount of commission he was earning from such deals.

(3) Failed to fulfil her legal obligations under the Independent Commission Against Corruption Act to report corrupt conduct, and her obligations under the Ministerial Code of Conduct to manage conflicts of interest in her Government.

(4) Has failed to uphold any standards of propriety across all levels of her Government.
