Learn to Ride - Adult Cycle Training

Learn to Ride is a high quality cycle training course offered FREE of charge to all residents aged over 18 years, who hold a Birmingham City Council Leisure Card and live in Birmingham.

Learn to Ride follows the National Standards cycle Locations & Times training course guidelines and delivers training for cyclists of all skill levels from complete beginners Firs & Bromford Wellbeing Hub to cyclists wishing to ride on road amongst traffic. Level 1: Wednesday, 9.30am - 11.00am There are two Learn to Ride courses available. Level 2: Wednesday, 11.30am - 1.00pm

Level 1 Kingstanding Wellbeing Centre The Level 1 sessions are for people to improve their Level 1: Monday, 10.00am - 11.30am riding control skills and can include teaching people Level 2: Monday, 12noon - 1.30pm to pedal. These sessions are delivered on traffic free training sites. Shard End Wellbeing Centre Level 1: Tuesday, 11.30am - 1.00pm Level 2 Level 2: Tuesday, 1.30pm - 3.00pm Level 2 courses are aimed at cyclists who can demonstrate they can ride to a proficient Level 1 Billesley Indoor Tennis Centre standard. Birmingham Cycle Revolution’s next phase of on-road cycling infrastructure is well underway.

We will be focussing on creating high quality cycle routes from Selly Oak to the city centre, via the A38, and to the city centre, via the A34. The routes will be largely segregated and intended to allow a comfortable cycling experience on some of the city’s major roads.
