BENEDETTI IN THE NEWS In the span of one week, Nicola Benedetti has been featured on BBC, NPR and CNN!

On October 28th, BBC aired an in-depth documentary on the making of the Wynton Marsalis . On November 1st, just off the heels of a successful Eastcoast premiere of the concerto with the National Symphony Orchestra and Christoph Eschenbach (read review here), Benedetti and Marsalis were featured on NPR's top-rated Morning Edition show. On November 4th, CNN Style profiled Benedetti in a video segment from

London's iconic St. Paul's Cathedral.

MACELARU'S RECENT SUCCESSES Newly announced Music Director of Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music, Cristian Macelaru continues his string of successes in recent appearances with the St. Louis Symphony, Royal Scottish National Orchestra and City of Birmingham Symphony. St. Louis Post-Dispatch raved about his "rousing performance" and the Herald Scotland called him

"the real McCoy"!

SUSSMANN'S EXCEPTIONAL DEBUTS Arnaud Sussmann made his Westcoast debuts in October in highly successful performances with the Vancouver Symphony and Pacific Symphony. He performed the Brahms Concerto in Vancouver under Cristian Macelaru and Mozart Concerto No. 3 in Costa Mesa under Carl St. Clair. The reviews were glowing:

“Sussmann’s Mozart was a miracle …”

On November 5th, Sussmann headed back West to step in for an indisposed Jennifer Frautschi on Sibelius with the Idaho Falls Symphony!

JOSHUA BELL HEADLINES "LIVE FROM " Following his concerts with Gustavo Dudamel, Joshua Bell made multiple appearances at Lincoln Center last week including a sold-out November 2nd recital at Alice Tully Hall with pianist Alessio Bax. On November 1st, Bell headlined a Live from Lincoln Center broadcast from Jazz at Lincoln Center's

Rose Theater in a "Seasons of Cuba" program. The Chamber Orchestra of Havana and special guest artists such as singer/guitarist Dave Matthews and Cuban artists Carlos Varela and Aldo Lopez-Gavilan joined Bell for a vibrant program celebrating a new era of cultural diplomacy. Broadcast airs on PBS December 16th.
