THE ELIXIR OF LOVE FOR FAMILIES PRODUCTION TEAM BIOGRAPHY MARTIN PAKLEDINAZ, Costume Designer Martin Pakledinaz is an American Tony Award-winning costume designer for stage and film. His work on Broadway includes The Pajama Game, The Trip to Bountiful, Wonderful Town, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Kiss Me, Kate, The Boys From Syracuse, The Diary Of Anne Frank, A Year With Frog And Toad, The Life, Anna Christie, The Father, and Golden Child. Off-Broadway work includes Two Gentlemen of Verona, Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party, Kimberly Akimbo, Give Me Your Answer, Do, Juvenalia, The Misanthrope, Kevin Kline's Hamlet, Twelve Dreams, Waste, and Troilus and Cressida. He won two Tony Awards for designing the costumes of Thoroughly Modern Millie and the 2000 revival of Kiss Me Kate, which also earned him the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Costume Design. He has designed plays for the leading regional theatres of the United States, and the Royal Dramatic Theatre of Sweden. Tarantino, M.F.A., Advisor Daniel A.Gray, M.F.A. Advisor Graduate Program in Theatre Maureen Ryan, M.F.A. ABSTRACT Stephen Schwartz’s Working was produced at The Ohio State University Department of Theatre during the spring quarter of 2008. Included in this document is all of the documentation used for the implementation of the lighting design for this production. The need to work forces humans to interact with one another daily and requires us to deal with the added stressors that being in contact with other humans creates. This theme is central to the story of Working and is a major point of emphasis for our production of Working. Chris Roche in his Director’s Concept states, “The construction of Working at first glance seems isolated and solitary, so many different stories – but very little unifying factor. I believe the common thread is the workers themselves. Who do we meet on a daily basis, and how does each of those domino-like moments affect the greater whole of our lives?” In support of the director’s concept, the lighting design for Working aimed to create two separate lighting environments one of reality and the other of fantasy. The challenge was to then connect the separate environments into one seamless world where the line of reality and fantasy are blurred.

IN NOVEMBER 2016 Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Producing Artistic Director, André Bishop) has extended the run of its critically acclaimed production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s THE KING AND I, directed by Bartlett Sher, indefinitely at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). In addition, the Ambassador Theatre Group and NETworks Presentations LLC will launch a national tour of the Lincoln Center Theater production, which was recently nominated for 9 Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical, in November 2016 in Providence, RI. The National Tour will play multi-week and single week engagements throughout the 2016-17 touring season and beyond. Casting and additional engagements for the tour will be announced at a future date. This open-ended run of THE KING AND I is performed Tuesday evenings at 7pm, Wednesday through Saturday evenings at 8pm, with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 3pm. NATIONAL THEATRE PRESENTS UK PREMIERE OF THE LINCOLN CENTER THEATER PRODUCTION OF OSLO AT THE LYTTELTON THEATRE, TRANSFERRING TO THE HAROLD PINTER THEATRE, IN THE WEST END The National Theatre today (6 April 2017) announced the UK premiere of Lincoln Center Theater’s critically acclaimed production of OSLO, a gripping new play by J T Rogers, directed by Bartlett Sher which is currently in previews at the Vivian Beaumont Theater on Broadway. OSLO has a strictly limited run at the NT’s Lyttelton Theatre from 5 – 23 September, and will transfer to the Harold Pinter Theatre in London’s West End from 30 September to 30 December 2017 in association with ATG. Press night 12 September at the National Theatre. OSLO tells the true story of how one young couple, Norwegian diplomat Mona Juul and her husband, social scientist Terje Rød-Larsen planned and orchestrated top-secret, high-level meetings between the State of Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organisation, which culminated in the signing of the historic 1993 Oslo Accords. Featuring dozens of characters and set in locations across the globe, Oslo is both a political thriller and the personal story of a small band of women and men struggling together – and fighting each other – as they seek to change the world.
