BRANDON RIEGG - VP, Nonfiction Series and Comedy Specials

Brandon Riegg is Vice President, Nonfiction Series and Comedy Specials at Netflix, the world’s leading internet entertainment service. He oversees original unscripted programming, documentary series, and stand-up and sketch comedy.

Riegg joined Netflix in November 2016 to help create and manage the company’s first push into unscripted original content. His team has launched acclaimed series including Queer Eye, Nailed It!, Love is Blind, Tidying Up with Marie Kondo, and Rhythm + Flow, among many others. In March 2019, Riegg also took on oversight of the teams responsible for Netflix’s vast and diverse slate of comedy specials and formats, as well as doc series such as Chef’s Table, Cheer, Last Chance U, and The Last Dance.

Prior to Netflix, Riegg was Senior Vice President and co-head of NBC’s alternative programming department, responsible for notable series The Voice, America's Got Talent, , The Biggest Loser and . In 2011, he was featured on The Hollywood Reporter’s 18th annual Next Gen list. Before NBC, Riegg was the Executive Director of Alternative Series & Specials at ABC, where he oversaw development, production and on-air current programming for series, including Dancing with the Stars, Wife Swap and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. He also developed Wipeout, Shaq Vs. and I Survived a Japanese Game Show. In addition to early stints at Mark Burnett Productions and Carsey-Werner-Mandabach Television, Riegg was Director of Series Development & Original Programming for VH1. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Pennsylvania.
