Dopo un primo periodo dedicato alla scrittura e all'arrangiamento delle proprie canzoni, nel Novembre del 2011 il gruppo entra alla Sauna Recording Studio per incidere cinque brani inediti, pubblicati da Ghost Records a fine 2011 (https://soundcloud.com/frozen-farmer/sets/frozen-farmer-album-mp3/s- Q9TtL).

E' uscito recentemente il loro nuovo album "Stay" (2014, Seahorse Recordings/Audioglobe distribuzione). Il disco conferma la forte passione del gruppo per il folk, ma allo stesso tempo rivela la molteplicità di influenze musicali che ognuno dei componenti riversa nell'arrangiamento finale dei brani, tracciando una linea ancora più decisa nel sound dei Frozen Farmer.

Questo album vede inoltre la preziosa collaborazione di Tim Sparks (chitarrista statunitense che ha inciso diversi dischi per la Tzadik e ha cooperato, tra gli altri, con John Zorn, Bill Frisell, Marc Ribot e Greg Cohen) che, appassionatosi al progetto, ha partecipato alle registrazioni (www.timsparks.com).

The band spent some months writing and playing new songs and then, in November 2011, their first EP was released by a significant Italian indie-label called Ghost Records (https://soundcloud.com/frozen- farmer/sets/frozen-farmer-album-mp3/s-Q9TtL). It goes from folk rock to bluegrass and alternative country. It got very good reviews on Italian Magazines and also on Webzines.

After some gigs, the band started to work on new songs. At the end of 2012 the Frozen Farmer went back to La Sauna Recording Studio in Varese and recorded an album entitled “Stay”, released by Seahorse Recordings in 2014. The album confirms Frozen Farmer’s passion for folk music, but, at the same time, it reveals more vigorously the different musical influences that each member of the band has brought into the project.

The album featured Tim Sparks, a famous American acoustic guitarist, arranger and composer (Tzadik Records – in association with John Zorn) (www.timsparks.com).
