MEMBERS OF THE DANISH PARLIAMENT WHO’S WHO IN THE DANISH PARLIAMENT AND THE GOVERNMENT Who’s who in the Danish Parliament and the Government JUNE 21ST 2018 THE PARTIES IN THE DANISH PARLIAMENT Party chairpersons Mette Frederiksen (S) Kristian Thulesen Dahl (DF) The political parties in the Danish Parliament are structured in various ways. But all of Lars Løkke Rasmussen (V) them have a national organisation and a parliamentary group. Members of a party’s Anders Samuelsen (LA) national organisation are the party’s “rank and file”. As the name implies, the parliamen- Uffe Elbæk (ALT) tary group comprises those Members of the Danish Parliament who are attached to a Svend Thorhauge (RV) given political party. Pia Olsen Dyhr (SF) Søren Pape (KF) The party chairperson is the head of the national organisation. The parliamentary Group chairpersons group is led by the group chairperson. Almost all parliamentary parties elect a vice-chair- Henrik Sass Larsen (S) person. Peter Skaarup (DF) Karen Ellemann (V) Jakob Sølvhøj (EL) The group secretary assists the chairperson with his or her everyday work in the group. Christina Egelund (LA) Finally, there is a number of spokespersons in the parliamentary group who, depending on René Gade (ALT) the subject in question, speak on behalf of the group during debates. It is therefore the Morten Østergaard (RV) political spokesperson who makes statements on general political and financial issues.
