Directory entry Kelly’s Directory 1922 p.692 (1920s or nearest date) Public Elementary School (mixed) for the parishes of Toft Monks and Haddiscoe, built in 1870 at a cost of £1,000 for 120 children; Wm B Alexander, master; Assistant Overseer, Fred Wigg Haddiscoe entry – This place is united with Toft Monks for educational purposes and the school is situated in that parish Kelly’s Directory 1908 p.490 Public Elementary School (mixed) for the parishes of Toft Monks and Haddiscoe, built in 1870 at a cost of £1,000 for 150 children, average attendance 113; William B Alexander, master; Mrs Agnes Tidd, assistant mistress White’s Directory 1883 p.747 A school board for the united parishes of Toft Monks and Haddiscoe was established in 1873 and consists of the following members: Rev A Wace (chairman), messrs A J Palmer (vice chairman), A Carman, C Colman, and A.Winter. The school for 90 children with teachers residence was erected in 1866 and a classroom was added in 1874 at a cost of £250 NCC Ed.Com.
