Overview The vampire is one of the most popular and enduring images in the world, giving rise to hundreds of monster movies around the globe every year, not to mention novels, short stories, plays, TV shows, and commercial merchandise. Yet the Western vampire image that we know from the film, television, and literature of today is very different from its eastern European progenitor. Nina Auerbach has said that "every age creates the vampire that it needs." In this course we will explore the eastern European origins of the vampire, similar entities in other cultures that predate them, and how the vampire in its look, nature, vulnerabilities, and threat has changed over the centuries. This approach will provide us with the means to learn about the geography, village and urban cultures, traditional social structure, and religions of eastern Europe; the nature and manifestations of Evil and the concept of Limited Good; physical, temporal, and societal boundaries and ritual passage that accompany them; and major historical and intellectual periods (the settlement of Europe, the Age of Reason, Romanticism, Neo-classicism, the Enlightenment, the Victorian era, up to today).

II.Concert Overview Wonder Woman in Concert is a full-evening film with live orchestra production. All equipment, materials, personnel and/or labor specified in this rider will be provided by the PRESENTER, at the Presenter’s own expense (except where rider specifically notes that the “COMPANY Provides” or “PRODUCTION Provides”). Upon completion of the agreement or sixty (60) days prior to performance, the PRESENTER shall provide to the COMPANY plans and information about the VENUE including a plan and section view of the stage in CAD format, lists of sound, lighting and projection inventories, and any additional information such as working hours and labor stipulations that may be vital to the planning of this engagement.

After screening his first movies, the FNC is proud to welcome the Quebec director back to his hometown with his latest opus, his fourth American feature, and one of the most highly anticipated films of the year. BLADE RUNNER 2049 is a sequel to the acclaimed classic Blade Runner, directed by Ridley Scott in 1982. In the new film, a young blade runner's discovery of a long-buried secret leads him on a quest to track down former blade runner, Rick Deckard, who has been missing for thirty years. BLADE RUNNER 2049 features a star-studded cast, led by Ryan Gosling (Drive, La La Land) and Harrison Ford (the Star Wars saga, Indiana Jones), reprising his role as Rick Deckard. Posted: Mon., Dec. 28, 2009, 8:00pm PT Adler, McCarthy engulfed in WWII 'Fog' Producers option sci-fi horror comicbook 'Night and Fog' By TATIANA SIEGEL Producers Gil Adler and Shane McCarthy have optioned the sci-fi horror comicbook "Night and Fog" from publisher Studio 407. No stranger to comicbook-based material, Adler has produced such graphic-based fare as "Constantine," "Superman Returns" and the upcoming Brandon Routh starrer "Dead of Night," which is based on the popular Italian title "Dylan Dog." This material is definitely in my strike zone in more ways than one," Adler said, noting his prior role as a producer of such horror projects as the "Tales From the Crypt" series. "But what really appealed to me wasn't so much the genre trappings but rather the characters that really drive this story." Set during WWII, story revolves around an infectious mist unleashed on a military base that transforms its victims into preternatural creatures of the night. But when the survivors try to kill them, they adapt and change into something even more horrific and unstoppable. Studio 407's Alex Leung will also serve as a producer on "Night and Fog." Adler and McCarthy are also teaming to produce an adaptation of "Havana Nocturne" along with Eric Eisner. They also recently optioned Ken Bruen's crime thriller "Tower." "Night and Fog" is available in comic shops in the single-issue format and digitally on iPhone through Comixology.
