Ferris State won the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Northern Division on Saturday, beating Michigan Tech 70-61 on the strength of Dennis Springs 2 1 points.

The Bulldogs, which did not win a single non-conference game, finished 14-13 on the season and had only four conference losses.

The Huskies (19-6, 13-5) shot just 37.7 percent from the field for the game. The Bulldogs got 23 points from its bench and edged Michigan Tech on the boards 42-35.

Josh Buettner and Jason Marcotte both had 23 for Michigan Tech in the losing effort.

Ferris State will host Northwood in the conference tournament on Tuesday.
