Background I am a Visual C++ software developer with extensive experience in the traffic engineering industry. I am an expert Windows MFC developer with experience coding applications using MySQL database. I also have experience with the Win32 API, MS Access, STL, OpenGL, COM, ATL, SQL, XML, HTML, ASP, JavaScript, VBScript, and .

Professional Experience

 July 1996 to May 2013 – KLD Engineering, PC Visual C++ Software Developer – MFC (including Feature Pack):

I contributed to the development of a real-time traffic adaptive system developed for NYCDOT. This included DLL creation for data manipulation and transfer between the company’s proprietary traffic models. I also created a database “health status” report generator which automatically emailed daily reports to engineers on the current data state.

I developed a traffic network editor with storage and retrieval from a MySQL Database. This application was utilized by engineers to create virtual evacuations of nuclear power plants throughout the United States and Japan. It allows engineers to set intersection traffic characteristics, geometry, volume data, and signal control specifications. A traffic animator could then be launched for a virtual display of moving traffic.

I contributed to the development of both 2D and 3D traffic animators. The 3D animator was developed using OpenGL.

 July 2001 to January 2002 – Eshare Communications Visual C++ – MFC/COM/XML/HTML/ATL/JavaScript/VBScript Visual Basic/ASP/DHTML:

I played a significant role in the development of an email distribution product included with the company’s customer interaction software. The ATL component that I designed displays in as a splitter window with both a tree view and an view. The browser scripts of the html view communicate smoothly with the C++ code of the host application. All interaction is done using XML (SOAP) and data storage is accomplished using SQL Server. Other technologies included in my project are COM, ASP, HTML, VBScript and JavaScript.

 December 1999 to May 2001 - Broadserve Visual C++ Programmer – MFC/COM/DirectX/Sockets:

I worked on the development of several Internet based applications. I was responsible primarily for the design and implementation of the GUI aspect of their video email product. I developed the application with a non-rectangular main window with smaller slide-out windows which displayed as needed. I was also involved in DirectX programming along with data retrieval and storage using SQL Server and XML.

 February 1999 to November 1999 - APGEN Visual C++ Programmer – MFC/Active X:

I developed MFC utility applications for interaction with their proprietary database. One product that I designed was an MDI application that utilized an ActiveX Grid for data visualization and manipulation. I created another MFC application that generated database queries and exchanged data with their existing software.
