Syringes are furnished by an ESAP registered PA from After Hours mobile van. After Hours Project (AHP) Furnishing of syringes occurs in the vicinity of Knickerboker Avenue & Troutman St in . ACR Health ACR Health has two voucher programs. One in Syracuse and one in Utica. ACR Health staff 627 West Genesse Street distributes vouchers to clients. The clients redeem the vouchers at the Harvey Pharmacy, a local Syracuse, NY 13204 pharmacy in the area. (Syringe Exchange Program)

An ESAP registered provider furnishes syringes once a week, on Tuesdays, 3 PM to 6 PM. The Alliance for Positive Change a.k.a. The Allegany County Department of Public Works has a Think Sharp – Safe Syringe Disposal Program . Allegany County has seven solid waste disposal facilities registered as safe sharps collection sites under the NYS Safe Sharps Collection Program.

The Public Works Department has partnered with local pharmacies (10) who have agreed to help promote the program advertise the 7 disposal locations, and also provide residents with free sharps disposal containers (fitpacks and/or 1 qt. red sharps containers). An ESAP registered provider, in collaboration with BAC, also furnishes syringes from their mobile van. The ESAP provider works five hours a day, Monday through Thursday. In addition to furnishing Bridging Access Care (BAC) a.k.a. syringes, the van provides HIV counseling and testing, as well as STD screening and referrals to Brooklyn AIDS Task Force (BATF) services. Catholic Charities AIDS Services Catholic Charities AIDS Services' Project Safe Point has a voucher program and it currently partners 326 Clinton Avenue with 8 area pharmacies. The voucher program is promoted through outreach to substance abuse Albany, NY 12206 treatment providers, and other community resource agencies. (Syringe Exchange Program)

Centro Cívico's Project Needle Smart (PNS) is a community safe sharps collection program serving Centro Cívico of Amsterdam the greater capital region and responsible for the establishing 20 collection sites (kiosks) in the region. 143-145 East It also assists in implementing community safe sharps collection programs in other counties. The Amsterdam, NY 12010 program has an animated TV commercial staring "Freddy the Frog" to promote safe disposal.

BOOM Health staff, in collaboration with VIP Services, outreach to non-ESAP registered pharmacies BOOM Health a.k.a. CitiWide Harm to encourage them to become ESAP providers or collection sites in the borough. An ESAP registered practitioner at CHASI's Van Duzer site furnishes syringes at this site and from CHASI's mobile van. They collect used syringes as well. The Syringe Expanded Access and Disposal (SEAD) Projec t at Erie County is an educational/action program which targets the communities in the eight counties of Western New York. The program focuses on providing information regarding legal access to new, clean syringes without a prescription and appropriate avenues for disposal of used syringes, needles and lancets. Erie County Dept. of Health (Erie County) The SEAD Project is responsible for the placing of over 50 safe sharps collection sites in the Western 95 Franklin Street New York area. Buffalo 14202 Erie County DOH and its satellites are Article 28 ESAP registered providers. The SEAD Project coordinates the furnishing of syringes in their clinics and communinity based organizations.

Greene County has a Greene County Kiosk Program The program has 7 kiosks placed in different areas of the county. Greene County has small red containers available for clients at each kiosk site, and restocked as needed.

An ESAP registered provider, in collaboration with HU, furnishes syringes from their prevention mobile van. All community members accessing ESAP are offered referrals to services such as HIV/STI/HCV testing, medical care and other supportive services depending on their need. Hudson Valley Community Services (HVCS) HVCS has a voucher program and currently partners with 7 pharmacies in 6 different towns. 40 Saw Mill River Road Vouchers are distributed through street outreach in the areas. Hawthorne, NY 10532

MCCNY Charities An ESAP registered Nurse Practitioner at MCCNY Charities, which provides services to homeless 446 West 36th Street youth, furnishes syringes to any adult over the age of 18. Education is provided on safe disposal of New York, NY 10018 used syringes.

REACH CNY established the CNY Syringe Disposal Coalition . In partnership with the NYSDOH Clinical Education Initiative, the CNY Syringe Disposal Coalition provides educational tool kits that include health education materials detailing ESAP's syringe access, proper disposal, and syringe drop- off sites at pharmacies in the CNY area. SIBRO is a consortium of health care practitioners in private practice and in community-based organizations in Staten Island and Brooklyn. These health care providers have registered as ESAP providers and they furnish syringes from the following sites in Brooklyn and Staten Island: SIBRO a. An ESAP registered medical provider furnishes syringes in their Sunset Park site and offsite via mobile van in Red Hook. In addition, an ESAP outreach team promotes the program to clients and distribute fitpacks to them. An ESAP registered provider at VOCAL furnishes syringes from the site and on a few corners around VOCAL the agency. Peers do outreach to pharmacies, CBOs and drug treatment programs.
