Player of the Year Katie Lou Samuelson of Mater Dei High School headlines 2015 WBCA High School All-America Team ATLANTA (February 25, 2015) – Katie Lou Samuelson of Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, is the 2015 WBCA High School Player of the Year and headlines the 2015 WBCA High School All-America Team, the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association announced today. Samuelson, a 6-foot-3 senior forward who is averaging 29.3 points per game, 8.5 rebounds per game and 2.4 steals per game, has signed with Connecticut. "Congratulations to Katie Lou for earning the top award for high school basketball players," said WBCA Executive Director Danielle Donehew. "Katie Lou has set the bar for current and future high school student-athletes across the country with her determination and excellence on the court, and her grace off of it.
