Opened in the fall of 1971, the James A. Mc- Lane Physical Education Center is the home to the AU women’s volleyball team and the men’s and women’s basketball teams and houses the Lebohner Pool for the men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs. Named in honor of one of Alfred’s fi nest athletic directors, the McLane Center is the hub of intramural activity on campus. Th e modern fi tness center located on the ground fl oor is a focal point for students, faculty and staff and the Alfred community. Offi ces for the Department of Athletics and the Division of Athletic Training are also located in the McLane Center.
