MARCH' r COMBO I RALLY,

!t is· small wonder that the roads used' on ·thi~ ter-rtfic rally were washed out in the recent rains. They were probably the least travelled and most sensational motoring roads in S.Calif! This rally 'Wc?sperfectly eng i ne er-ad to the last, detail by Glynn and Linda Lock- . wood of the Glendale group. and Fran Brabo and Larry Wilkins of the S.Barbara group. The run was appr ox., 150 mi., mostly over the mount- ains along the coast of L.A. and Ventura counties, down along the beach and in: beautiful Lake Enchanto Valley. It had fo~r or five changes of speed consistent with the terrain and ranging from 20 mph to 45 mph. Nine surprise check points kept navigators on their toes the ··whole trip, new.
