Pacific mattresses are exceptional-quality, luxury all foam mattresses. Pacifics are made up of our innovative Pacific Float Foam. • What kind of sheets should I use on my Pacific mattress? Any standard pocket sheets will fit your Pacific just fine. We recommend fitted sheets with strong elastic all the way around. • Should I use a mattress protector on my Pacific? Yes, we do recommend using a mattress protector with your Pacific mattress. • What kind of bed frame should I use with my Pacific mattress? Pacific Mattresses are designed to work on a firm, solid-surface or other bed base which is structurally capable of supporting the weight of both your mattress and yourself and any sleep partners, i.e. slatted bases with gaps no larger than 3 inches are usually sufficient, but heavier users may require smaller gaps. Using a bunkie board on slatted bases will always give optimal support for your Pacific. Your Pacific will also work on a standard boxspring, adjustable base or even the floor. • What is a bunkie board and do I need one? A bunkie board is a super thin foundation made especially to add more even mattress support to slatted bed frames. If the gaps between your slats are 1 ½” or smaller you probably don’t need one, however, if they are larger than 3” then we definitely recommend one. Some folks will find better mattress support using a bunkie for gaps 1 ½”-3”. • Can I use my Pacific on an adjustable base frame? Your Pacific will work wonderfully with most adjustable bases. Our mattresses are designed with great flexibility for articulating with an adjustable base without damage or voiding your warranty. Most adjustable bases have solid tops, but if it has slats just make sure the gaps are smaller than 3”. • Can I wash the mattress cover? You can zip off the top portion of the cover and machine wash it in cold water. Line dry-do not put in the dryer as it may shrink. • Can I replace my mattress cover? If you think you have a cover issue due to a manufacturing defect in either materials or workmanship please email us at [email protected]. • I live in a humid climate and my mattress is setup on the floor. Are there any special maintenance suggestions for my mattress? Generally, your Pacific mattress will function perfectly fine on the floor, however, if you live in a humid climate we do suggest propping up your mattress regularly to allow refreshing airflow underneath. This will eliminate moisture and thereby reduce the potential for mildew. • Do I need to flip and/or rotate my mattress? Pacific mattresses have a top and bottom so always keep the white side up. From time to time you can rotate your mattress from head to foot in order to wear the mattress more evenly. Rotating more frequently in the beginning can also help to break in your mattress more quickly and evenly. Information provided by Pacific Mattress Co. .
