Hughley, George Lopez and Charlie Murphy will come together to for one historic night of comedy for ‘The Black and Brown Comedy Get Down’ on Friday, June 12 at 8pm at Oracle Arena in Oakland. Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 20th at 10:00am and will be available at all Ticketmaster locations, online at Ticketmaster.com and charge by phone at 800.745.3000. Cedric the Entertainer is an actor and game show host, best known for co-starring along with Harvey on “The Steve Harvey Show” and starring as Eddie in the Barbershop films. Eddie Griffin appeared on the big screen in Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, Scary Movie 3, John Q, and Armageddon to name a few. Griffin performed on Russell Simmons’ “Def Jam Comedy,” many standup specials and starred in hit comedy series “Malcolm and Eddie” he even wrote and produced four episodes, one of which featured his mentor, Richard Pryor. D.L. Hughley was a member of The Original Kings of Comedy, a correspondent for The Jay Leno Show, host of D.L. Hughley Breaks The News on CNN and the original host of BET’s ComicView. He is the host of his own radio program syndicated in many markets. George Lopez is a multi-talented entertainer whose career encompasses television, film, standup comedy and late-night television. For two seasons, Lopez hosted Lopez Tonight, a late-night television talk show on TBS, Television’s groundbreaking hit sitcom George Lopez, which ran for six seasons. Lopez has risen to become one of the premier comedic talents in the entertainment industry and known for his extensive charity work with various foundations. Charlie Murphy spent the past two decades solidifying his position in Hollywood as a true acting, writing and producing talent. He’s appeared in feature films such as Lottery Ticket with Bow Wow, Ice Cube and Mike Epps, Our Family Wedding and The Perfect Holiday. Charlie wrote Norbit, which opened #1 at the box office, with his brother Eddie Murphy. Charlie was a cast member on “Chappelle’s Show” and stars as ‘Vic’ in Adult Swim’s new show “Black Jesus”.     Walter Latham Often referred to as "The King of Comedy,” Walter Latham is grateful for the humble upbringing and everyday challenges that shaped his early life, and instilled in him a fierce passion that led to his success as a business mogul and humanitarian. Born to a single mother in East New York, Brooklyn, Latham soon found himself in a similar situation, becoming a father at the young age of 18, and struggling to get by with odd jobs and a brief stint in the United States Air Force. At 20, he caught a break with a permanent position at the American Express Call Center in Greensboro, NC and was thrilled to finally provide healthcare for his son, even though he knew he was bound for something greater. Inspiration soon struck Latham, after attending a performance by his childhood friend, MC Lyte, when he realized his calling was to produce concerts. He borrowed money from his mother and produced his first concert in a nightclub. The headline act didn’t show and Latham had to refund the patrons their money but what he learned from this unfortunate experience would change his path forever. Latham decided to produce more concerts but mitigate his losses by soliciting sponsorships. He wrote and mailed 50 letters to various corporations about promoting a southeast tour with the hottest comedians. When Coors Brewing Company expressed interest, Latham soon found himself, at age 21, standing in a boardroom of top executives pitching his comedy idea. His first comedy tour featured Chris Tucker and Bill Bellamy and Coors was so impressed they asked Latham to do another.
