BRONCOS FALL TO JAGUARS IN SEASON OPENER

The Denver Broncos (0‐1) lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars (1‐0) 24‐17 on Sunday, ending their three‐game winning streak in regular‐season openers. The loss drops the Broncos to 3‐5 all‐time against Jacksonville (1‐3 away).

LLOYD RECORDS FIFTH CAREER 100‐YARD RECEIVING GAME

Broncos WR Brandon Lloyd registered his fifth career 100‐yard receiving game, totaling five receptions for 117 yards (23.4 avg.) against the Jaguars. The total marks the fourth‐most receiving yards in his career.

Broncos WR narrowly missed recording his fourth career 100‐yard receiving game, as he totaled eight receptions for 98 yards (12.3 avg.) against Jacksonville. His 98 receiving yards mark his highest output since he grabbed nine passes for 104 yards (11.6 avg.) at Kansas City (9/28/08).

PRATER GOES THE DISTANCE

With his 54‐yard field goal in the fourth quarter that tied the score at 17‐17, Broncos K Matt Prater recorded his third‐ longest career field goal. The kick also marked the eighth 50+ yard field goal of his career (2nd most in franchise history), while his 80 percent completion percentage (8‐of‐10) from 50‐plus yards ranks first in NFL history (min. 10 att.) since the 1970 NFL merger.

PAIR OF ROOKIES START FOR BRONCOS ON OFFENSIVE LINE

Broncos OL , who started at right tackle, and OL J.D. Walton, who started at center for the Broncos today, became the first rookies in franchise history (since 1968) to start a regular‐season opener at those respective positions. Overall, Beadles and Walton became the sixth and seventh rookies in team history to start a regular‐season opener, and the first since OL in 2008. Beadles, who was selected by the Broncos in the second round (45th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft from the University of Utah, started two games at left guard and one game at left tackle during the preseason. Walton, who was chosen with Denver’s first of two picks in the third round (80th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft from Baylor University, started all four of Denver’s preseason contests at center.

Another player along Denver’s offensive line, OL Stanley Daniels, made his first career regular‐season start at left guard. The Broncos are the first team since Buffalo in 2009 (LT Demetrius Bell, LG Andy Levitre, RG ) to start three players along the offensive line in the season opener who had no previous regular‐season starting experience.
