Standings through games January 24, 2009 UT MARTIN RECAP INSIDE THE NUMBERS UT Martin used a 19-2 run midway through the second half keyed by 13 points by Lester Hudson as the Skyhawks pulled away from Eastern Illinois 65-51. EIU led by one at halftime and was up by six points early in the second half before the UTM spurt. Hudson finished with 29 points. Tyler Laser tried to match Hudson’s scoring for the Panthers finishing with 21 on 5-of-7 from 3-point range. EIU shot 42 percent from the field and dominated the glass but committed 20 turnovers in the loss. PRODUCTION DOWN FROM MARTIN Eastern Illinois leading scorer Romain Martin has struggled from the field of late posting back-to-back single digit scoring efforts at Murray State and UT Martin. Taking out the four games he played while injured last season, those two games mark the first time since Jan. 11 & 13 of 2007 that Martin has finished with back-to- TTU Points Per Game .................... 75.5 back single digit efforts.
