MUTAJALLY (gb) b h 2010 Teofilo – Dhelaal / Green Desert - a stallion with a top class pedigree www.mutajallystallion.com MUTAJALLY (gb) b h 2010 Teofilo – Dhelaal / Green Desert - a stallion with a top class pedigree Mutajally is a stallion with a unique pedigree. He is closely related to numerous European champions, and we are pleased to be able to give breeders access to this fine stallion at a very reasonable fee. Mutajally's sire, the Galileo son Teofilo, was an undefeated champion 2-year-old in Europa. He has sired top class performers like Trading Leather (Irish Derby, G1 etc.), Pleascach (Irish 1000 Guineas, G1, Yorkshire Oaks, G1 etc.), Humidor (winner of three G1 events in Australia) and Hong Kong's best middle distance runner Exultant, who won the 2018 Hong Kong Vase, G1, Queen Mother Memorial Cup, G3, second Champions & Chater Cup (G1), third behind champions Churchill and Thunder Snow in Irish 2000 Guineas (G1). Mutajally's dam, the Shadwell filly Dhelaal, is a daughter of Champion sprinter Green Desert, and she is a half sister to Alhaarth, an undefeated Champion 2yo in Europe and successful stallion, sire of 2,000 Guineas (G1) / Champion Stakes (G1) winner Haafhd. Dhelaal is also the dam of Makfi, 2000 Guineas (G1) winner, successful stallion; sire of Make Believe (undefeated 2yo, winner of the Poule d'Essai des Poulains / French 2000 Guineas (G1) and Prix de la Foret (G1)), and Magic Circle, one of the best staying performers in England (8 wins incl. Henry II St., G3, Chester Cup). This is a family of speed and stamina.

  • Epsom Derby & Oaks
Marten Julian’s Epsom Derby & Oaks ONLINE PREVIEW Friday 5 June The Investec Oaks (1m 4f) (4.30) Writing this on Thursday I am assuming the ground will be riding good for the start of the meeting. The going was on the soft side earlier in the week, but temperatures are set to rise and conditions could be quick by Friday unless the forecast thunderstorms hit the course. If they do, then they could bring up to 5mm of rain, which would ease the ground to good to soft, if not softer. There is nothing more frustrating in an analysis of form than a late change in ground conditions, so this uncertainty has to be factored into my preview. Visually the most impressive performance I have seen has come from Crystal Zvezda when she won a Listed trial stakes at Newbury in May. Rated just 78 at the time, on the strength of her maiden win at Lingfield in October, she beat the 98-rated Montalcino going away by three and a half lengths, with 90-rated Pamona half a length back in third. On figures she ran to a mark of around 103, 4lb lower than her new mark of 107. Crystal Zvezda won the race in the manner of a very talented filly. Last in the early stages and still with a wall of horses in front of her a quarter of a mile from home, she was switched approaching the final furlong and in just a couple of strides went clear of her rivals to win with loads in hand.

Staff Profile: Head Lad Flat Focus: The Derby Photos Of The Month Trainer Talk At this time of year, the racing world unleashes a collective desire to pinpoint the likely stars of the summer. It is only natural to want to celebrate the very best, to consider that we might be in the midst of greatness, but sometimes this can be un- healthy, with good or very good horses afforded the status of exceptional in order to fill a void left by those who captured our imagination most of all. True excellence is devalued if we consider every Classic winner a great, and we must be careful of not falling into this trap over the next few months.
