Achievements of the Ishii-Ishibashi Fund (Education Leadership Project) (AY 2014–AY 2020) 1. Keio Affiliated Schools Study Abroad Program Keio Affiliated Schools Study Abroad Program has sent a total of 42 students to boarding schools in the UK and US since the 2013 academic year. Each study abroad student receives a scholarship for the tuition and fees of the host school. The students are highly regarded at the host schools, not only from an academic perspective, but also for their involvement in a wide variety of activities including music and sports. From the 2019 academic year, study abroad for second-year junior high school students began and from the 2020 academic year, the program for the fifth-grade elementary school students began. Short-Term Study Abroad Programs As a short-term study abroad program for the students across the affiliated schools, a workshop has been held since the 2017 academic year for second-year junior high school to second-year senior high school students to learn design thinking at Stanford University, San Francisco. Through interactions among the students at all of Keio's affiliated schools, opportunities are being provided to think about what they need to do now in order to play an active role overseas in the future.
