Hospitals in the district rely on Kentix SmartXcan

Both the Klinikum Idar-Oberstein and the Elisabeth Stiftung Birkenfeld rely on fast temperature measurement with the Kentix SmartXcan in the entrance areas.

Due to the corona pandemic and the resulting ban on contact, access to the Elisabeth Foundation Birkenfeld is only permitted to staff and patients. To guarantee this, a temporary reception area has been set up, where the Kentix SmartXcan is now also being used.

All persons wishing to enter the hospital are required to undergo a test. The Idar-Oberstein Clinic relies on the voluntary use of SmartXcan. At the main entrance the Kentix SmartXcan was installed free-standing.

"The Kentix SmartXcan is a useful addition to the measures already taken in our hospital," says administrative director Hendrik Weinz. "We want to make the test with the Kentix SmartXcan an integral part of the access in the hospital. Currently, we are discussing its use at the main entrance or access to specific wards."
