Speaking to CommunityAd, John tells us that the book was a passion project a year in the making “and was only possible with help from my family and friends”. Noting the high praise and compliments the book has received online to John, he modestly distracts from that, instead pointing to his amazement “that Lt Gen Sir John Lorimer KCB DSO MBE Colonel Commandant, The Parachute Regiment Chairman wrote the foreword to the book” as well as reminding us that all profits go to the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces Charity, Support our Paras. The book acts as a fitting tribute to a family member, a war hero and someone who was part of shaping our world today, John adds “It is vital that we remember those that went before, they knew what they had to do ‘For Your Tomorrow, We Gave Our Today’”.

Who knows, maybe one day?” “His story is told here in the unmistakably authentic voice of the private soldier”.
